It sounds lovely apart from the thorns. Is Sam a runner?

    Where did he sleep?

    From your link...

The Wirral is considered part of the Liverpool City Region
    .[18] :-p
They want it politically, but it used to be under Cheshire, and my Postcode is CH.
It was only the transport between Liverpool and Wirral that brought them together or they would have stayed miles apart.
All the Gentry moved over here, and still do.

I think you will find the gentry are in Heswall. not Birkenhead. :p
We have a liverpool postcode but we are not under Liverpool council. I am surprised any of us know where to go home at night with the bonkers boundaries and disappearing counties.

I never mentioned Birkenhead, i was meaning out in the middle of nowhere.
We have tons of houses over here worth many many millions, in fact in Caldy i doubt if there is a house worth under £1m

When i lived in the West Kirby Area as a lad we where about a mile or so from any shops.

Where i am now i think theres a shop a couple of roads away, but the local villages are a mile away, we have a Supermarket about 2 miles. my Bank is 5 miles, so is my Dentist and Doctors.

Must go, bed time, up at 4.30 for work.:-)

    Nighty Night All.:-yawn::-sleep:

it seems that an awful lot of people just ran their laptops by the battery and continued using their phones,so they saved a big fat ZILCH!

    Morning honey. :)

Kind of defeated the whole purpose, especially the ones who were 'boasting' of using their laptops/phones/kindles etc during the hour. Some were even swithering whether to leave the laptops plugged in or just use the battery........decisions decisions.

I don't follow, i thought the idea was just to not use the mains, how did using the battery effect anything? :confuserated even more:

Because the power they used had to be replenished from the mains. The point was to save electricity. It didn't.
