  wasnt that the name for the itv regions after midnight years ago..night time comes into mind then changed to nightshift?

  I think it was ITVs night-time strand on a Friday nights back in the early nineties after James Whale.
  If it was, I remember there was a daft 10 minute cooking program for students called Get Stuffed. There was also a program called BPM about the latest night clubbing and music scene.

  yes, i vaguely remember this when I never had to go to bed early or when I came in from going out.

  I think that had different names in different ITV regions
  
  In Anglia it was called Anglia Through The Night which had three main "faces"

  Heck us in STVLand have "the nightshift" after midnight on STV showing archived clips and "flyovers" and reading texts/emails from viewers .... biggest pile of crap to ever watch!
