Denmark - No doubt not the best that Denmark could have entered 4/10
San Marino - Not doing anything for me 3.5/10
Romania - Stealing bugger! CLUB! 4/10
Ireland - Had to minimize window for that! Slow and boring 3/10
Spain - Electric guitar, thunder and lightning, must be rock! Nice tune, not that catchy. 6.66/10
Morocco - A great song for Morocco, which translated is a 'it's ok' song for the likes of Sweden, Norway etc. 4/10
Greece - Well this is certainly different to what Greece has sent before, I must say it is toe tapping, nothing special. 5.5/10
    Moldova - See Morocco. 5/10
UK - Oh yes, a very powerful song. 7/10
    Cyprus - Him again‽ Well It's all right. 5/10
Armenia - Can't understand a bleeding word, but it seems very nice. 5.5/10
Poland - I could live with her singing, but not his. 4.5/10
Serbia - Absolutely does nothing for me. 2/10
France - This must have come from the French version of Grease, oh oh oh no. 4.5/10
    Belgium - Yawn 4/10
Macedonia - Wasn't expecting much from Macedonia, quite surprised though. 6/10
Slovenia - Now we are getting somewhere, very catchy. 7.5/10
    Austria - WTF FTW! ±1,000,000/10
    Bulgaria - No. 2/10
Azerbaijan - Ditch him, and you'll get a better score from me. 4.9/10
Albania - Her not singing makes this like any other club song. 4.5/10
Turkey - Chorus is great, but let down by most of the rest of the song. 6/10
Netherlands - Someone mentioned Within Temptation? Ending on a higher in this SF, a great song. 7.6/10

Votes sent for both SFs, SF2 seems a lot stronger than SF1.

    I struggled to find 10 songs in SF1 that I liked :o

I thought Semi 1 was quite weak but I think semi 2 probably got moire than its fair share of the strong songs

    Denmark: Awful and outdated. 2/10
San Marino: Really like this, he has a great voice. I love songs sang in Italian. :p 8/10
    Romania: It's no Lemonade. 4/10
Spain: I liked it at the start then the longer I listened to it for the more I went off it. 4/10
Morocco: Not great, but better than most so far. 5/10
Greece: I like Lianne la Havas. This is probably my favourite song of hers. 7/10
Moldova: A good club song, not that good though. 5/10
United Kingdom: Ewwww. Bring back England, Scotland, Wales & N.Ireland. -10/10
Cyprus: One of my favourite Cypriot entries was his first song. This is good but not as great. 7/10
    Armenia: This is good. 6.5/10
    Poland: Horrid. 1/10
Serbia: It's the definition of just 'okay'. 4/10
France: Aw her voice is really nice. :) 8/10
Belgium: Pales in comparison to France. 5/10
Macedonia: Not a fan of this. 3/10
Slovenia: Giving other songs a run for their money in terms of worst song in the contest. 1/10
Austria: Nevermind Slovenia, Austria beat you this time. 0/10
Bulgaria: It's just not happening, sorry. 3/10
Azerbaijan: It's just getting worse... and worse. 1/10
Albania: This is alright, or maybe thats just because it's in the midst of a long run of awful songs. 5/10
Turkey: One of the better ones. 7/10
Netherlands: I have a great song by these guys on my iTunes. It isn't this one. 4/10

Shockingly abysmal standard, I ended up giving points to a song I ranked 4/10. Go figure.

I hope SF2 is stronger, and i'm sure it is. ;)

Oh dear Carlisle got out the wrong side of bed today :D

    Semifinal 2 Review

    Italy
    I enjoyed this.

    Latvia
The video is quite appropriate for today and the songs ok.

    Bosnia & Herzegovina
Have we entered a parallel universe I love this song and its from Bosnia, my tip for the win or at least top 5.

    Czech Republic
Another good entry, I really like the chorus its catchy.

    Iceland
This was OK was expecting it to be epic though.

    Sweden
    I like this.

    Malta
I like it, but I think something's missing like there's all this build up and I'm expecting some powerful ending to chorus but it just goes back to the verse.

    Israel
Not a fan of Adam, this hasn't changed my mind.

    Germany
This is really good, its made me smile :)

    Estonia
    This is ok.

    Montenegro
Unfortunately unlike B&H this is what I was expecting for Montenegro :(

    Georgia
Back to the 70's, see comments for Montenegro.

    Hungary
Can't decide if this is serious or not.

    Russia
Thank god for this :) I like this.

    Finland
This is different, quite like this.

    Lithuania
A bit cheesy but it can be forgiven, its decent.

    Norway
This is good, I really like this.
    Portugal
I have mixed feeling on this one.

    Ukraine
This is catchy, she could do with more clothes though.

    Croatia
    I really like this.

    Slovakia
    Not liking this one.

    Belarus
    This isn't bad.

    Switzerland
This is a decent end to the play list.

I'd have to agree with this. Some decent entries in here, at least 4/5 I could see getting decent points from me should they make the final. Haven't gone through the second one yet though so could change.

    Semi Final One Review

Denmark: This is a nice start but I fear it could be forgettable come later numbers.

San Marino: Has promise but doesn't really go anywhere. A bit drab.

Romania: An uptempo number, hooray! The chorus is slightly repetitive but it's quite catchy.

Ireland: The video is powerful and makes the song for me.

Spain: It's a standard pop/rock hybrid; good but not great.

Morocco: Unfortunately it doesn't have a hook; it's a song which passed me by.

Greece: Something's missing from this - it becomes repetitive after a short while.

Moldova: The chorus is ok but the rapping is suspect to say the least.

United Kingdom: A plodding number though she has a powerful voice and the chorus is pretty memorable.

Cyprus: It immediately becomes a foot tapper with a great tune and strong vocals. I love it.

Armenia: From the introduction I didn't expect this; another song with an excellent tune and the beat is very strong.

Poland: I love this one; their voices compliment each other and the choir adds a much needed extra dynamic.

Serbia: This semi is starting to find it's feet; another strong number - I love the beat, tune and her vocals.

France: She has a good voice and I like the string accompaniment but the chorus lacks bite.

Belgium: Another repetitive number; her voice stands out.

Macedonia: Instantly memorable thanks to the catchy instrumental moments; the beat is superb and the vocals and tune are excellent.

Slovenia: The singer has a nice voice and the beat is catchy. Another one which becomes repetitive after a while.

Austria: I can see this being a big dance number in Vienna. It hardly matches the Waltz.

Bulgaria: OK verses but it loses it during the chorus.

Azerbaijan: Brilliant find! It's a fantastic song without looking at the country of origin.

Albania: This is quite nice; for me it just needs more of an edge but it's a good tune.

Turkey: I expected this to take off but it didn't really, though it's easy to listen to.

The Netherlands: Such a promising start but it's a shame that the chorus lacks much of a tune.

My top 12 (in alphabetical order): Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Ireland, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain and Turkey.

    :)

    Top 7 from SF2

    Bosnia & Herzegovina
    Estonia
    Finland
    Germany
    Italy
    Norway
    Sweden

Altogether, not much difference between the two semi finals for me; some strong entries in both of them.

Italy - It's a nice song, but nothing special. The middle picks up during the duet. 5.5/10
Latvia - Just what we need, more snow and a dodgy MS Pain Snowman :) It's ok, I don't get it and is easily forgettable. 4/10
Bosnia and Herzegovina - Wow from B&H, a very nice song, something that I thought Bosnia would never provide. It's one of those "Why could I not find a song like this for them!" moments. 6.5/10
Czech Republic - And I thought the Latvian video was WTF:eek: Well the chorus is fine, but the rest is dire and I can't tell a word she says. 5/10
Iceland - Not really a fan of Bjork, but that does not end today. This would send me mad on repeat! 1/10
Sweden - Reminds me of someone when I was at college, and he was cute. A big step up from Iceland, this actually sounds like a song. I like it! 7/10
Malta - First few notes, and I immediately thought 1980s. It feels really depressing from the start, but that burst in the middle (a bit late though) picks it up, but just for a little, and depressing again. 3/10
Israel - Fourth time lucky for him to actually make a fine in DSFE, it's an all right song, but he's not having much success in DSFE unlike his USAvision song where he won (just thought I'd mention it:D). 5.5/10
Germany - I really was not expecting her voice, however it's rather nice to hear, and the song is quite quirky, but warm, and cheerful, really good. 6.9/10
Estonia - The Finnic languages are very nice to hear, on a good song, however this song, well not really. 4/10
Montenegro - Ok first thoughts, I might not like this... waiting for the lyrics... Oh no! Well it is Montenegro - a bonus '.5' though. 2.5/10
Georgia - Really don't want to write a long review for this. Not good. 2.6/10
Hungary - I don't see how that watch is meant to tell the time, I hope time flies listening to this. 2.6/10
Russia - Well that's bad opera. Ok it's warming especially the main vocals, even with the heavy beat. It's trying to do an Extremadura, but not as good. 6/10
Finland - A very rocky soundtrack, with some very nice vocals.:) 7/10
Lithuania - Another 'Official' song from a sporting event. I keep want to sing "It's my time" though. Nothing special. 5/10
Norway - There are some filthy f*****g songs in this SF:p. Well it's a shame she didn't qualify in MGP, but I think this will, the song flows very nicely. 7.5/10
Portugal - Nope, nothing, really don't get this song at all. 3/10
Ukraine - Oh this is very much what Ukraine would send to actual Eurovision, very DIVA! 7/10
Croatia - This is crashing back to Earth, not a fan. 4.5/10
Slovakia - A very cheery song, and foot tapping, but not a winner in my eyes. 5.6/10
Belarus - More blooming snow, TBH I find this boring, 4/10
Switzerland - Ah this is more like it, not so strong though, I certainly thing Switzerland's actual ESC song is far better though. 5.5/10

    SEMI FINAL 2
Italy: It gets a bit epic by the end and very traditionalist Italy, which I like I guess. 6.5/10
Latvia: I imagine this is a christmas song. I hate christmas songs. 3/10
Bosnia & Herz: This was my Bosnian song. </3 I really love it. 8/10
    Czech Republic: ....... Lmao. 6/10
Iceland: Not a fan of Bjork, sorry. 4/10
    Sweden: Cheese central! 6/10
    Malta: I like this. 7.5/10
Israel: I really don't like Adam Lambert. 0/10
Germany: I was not expecting this! Really quirky and cute. I like it, but it's nothing special. 6/10
Estonia: I wasn't enjoying the first verse but there's something about the chorus I can't stop relistening to... Very good. 8/10
Montenegro: There's the Montenegro we all love and hate. 1/10
    Georgia: Oh my lord. 2/10
Hungary: It just gets worse... 2/10
Russia: Another of my songs, but I don't like it much. 3.5/10
Finland: Really love Tarja/Nightwish. Good song! 7/10
Lithuania: Not her best song, but still good. 5/10
Norway: Good but not great. 4/10
    Portugal: I don't really 'get' it... 3/10
Ukraine: Omg I love this. 9/10
    Croatia: This is good. 6/10
Slovakia: This is a bit cringey. Reminds me of that B*Witched song with the video, lmao. 5/10
Belarus: Not a fan, Estonia is much better. 4/10
Switzerland: Ending with a great song. Really like this. 9.5/10

    What a terrible standard.
