Liked it for a bit, hammered it on launch weekend and then got bored of it quickly. Never finished it, actually. I'm sure you can pick it up for less than 8 quid, though.
Not much re-playability about it as once you have played it once you know how all the cases play out. And there can be a bit of mundane driving.
Those were the only downsides, I had a lot of fun playing it, something completely different and highly entertaining at points.
Played it while I was at uni as did one of my housemates, we basically locked ourselves in our rooms and didn't see the other housemates for quite a period
It's a fantastic game if you are into crime/mystery film/books/shows
the only reason the game gets so much hate is because people only seen that rockstar games where involved and most likely expected a 1940s GTA and then where disappointed that it wasn't in my opinion
I bought this game and enjoyed it up till around the half way mark...... .. i couldn't be bothered to finish it....
the problem this game has is that it is so god damm repetitive!!!. the whole searching the body for clues then chasing leads.....is the same every single mission... it just gets really boring!
I find speaking to people it's like marmite either love or hate. I personally thought it had some great ideas and enjoyed it until I stupidly lost it. £8 is a great deal.
I thought it was good. It's like a police work simulator, you have to go thru the whole investigation process with each and every case, which many don't like, but I found if you really get into it, it can be quite satisfying. The questioning suspects and witnesses can be challenging to do right.
For £8 its worth a try, you'll either enjoy or hate, 50/50 gamble.
I bought it when it came out and played it on my brothers console. When I got my own console at Christmas it said I'm only 31% through so I'll need to start from scratch at some point.
I enjoyed it, but I remember getting frustrated when I had to find a dead body and look for a clue but couldn't do it for ages. THe movement controls weren't too smooth.
Is this the game where there is a big shoot out scene on scaffolding in a massive circular / open theatre like building?

Don't go into it expecting a GTA game because its not there's not that much shooting in it, it's more of a crime solving/puzzle game, if you enjoy games like Portal 2 then go for it. It's one of my most favourite games of all time
I'd say for £8 its well worth it. The facial animations really impressed me. The first time I'd seen a game with so many actors from tv that I recognised. Was almost like watching a tv show at times.
It did get repetitive though. I couldn't really be bothered with the dlc after I'd completed it.
Not the best of games in my opinion but worth eight pound. I got bored of it after a while because, as people have said, it does get repetitive. When I buy a game I like to think that I should get at least an hours worth of play for every pound I've spent on it and with that in mind it is definitely worth eight pound.
I prefer a bigger open world, adds to the realism for me. But I think as long as there is a purpose for such a big world and not be a load of dead space just to make it bigger.
I hated it! During one of the foot chases i purposely didn't tackle a suspect when prompted and just kept chasing him to see what would happen..after a minute or so he just stopped! Also i decided to chose the wrong options during an interigation and still got the right outcome. It really fails to give a sense that you have control over any outcome. It's a cool looking game and worth £8 but is very repetitive.

As you can probably see from many of the comments here: it is not worth getting. It is a boring, 3rd-rate story attached to a pseudo-interactive, boring bunch of click-throughs.
This kind of "gaming" is not to be encouraged. The production of these kind of "games" is not to be encouraged.

Yes as far as I can recall.
Oh it's coming back to me now - is that where these is a girl eventually found who is being exploited?

Just remember its a linear game in a sandbox world so don't expect a GTA game and you shouldn't be disappointed.
Ignore, just realised this is on the wrong thread
