THE Voice host Reggie Yates last night claimed rows on The X Factor are faked to boost ratings.
Good to see the Voice does not fake arguments to boost ratings and is an honest tv show. XFactor fakery is one of the reasons why XF is declining.Reggie, 29, said the BBC singing contest, back next month, was more honest with its viewers than its ITV rival.
The former Radio 1 Chart Show presenter said: “The rows between the judges on X Factor aren’t real.
“The Voice is real – you can never tell what is going to happen.
“If our judges fall out in the new series it will be real.”
The X Factor was regularly slammed by fans last year, with many claiming that judge Gary Barlow’s anger at Rylan Clark, 24, was put on for the television cameras.
But Reggie insisted the judges on The Voice, including Jessie J, 24, would refuse to fake arguments to keep viewers hooked.
He said: “That’s the one thing that’s constant on our show – they always act the way that they feel. They don’t do anything because anyone has prodded them.”
The Voice will be back on screens for a second series within weeks and producers have made a number of changes to the format.
Reggie said: “The talent this year is bloody good – it’s really looking great. So it’s exciting to be working on this series.
“The changes they have made are definitely making the show that bit more juicy.”
The BBC splashed out £22million to secure the rights to the reality hit for another two years.
Reggie added: “We’re the newbies.
“So getting to do another series is great because it gives us another opportunity to show how good we are.”

Just kidding around. Didn't he already say this last year. At least it's more interesting than that bore of a show.
The Pope...
All bullsh*t no matter what the source. TV producers will be TV producers, doesn't matter if they're making The Apprentice, Top Gear, X Factor, Made In Chelsea or The Voice. If you don't think elements of The Voice (particularly the auditions) were set up for entertainment purposes then you are absolutely off your nut.
I'm sorry but this argument that judging rows are faked is complete nonsense. These judges are NOT ACTORS, esp. not that thug Tulisa. I doubt she could remember the words if she was told to say something. And Louis, do you honestly think his memory is good enough to have a full-on argument with just about everyone bar Nicole on the panel? And would an honest bloke like Gary stoop to that level? Also for scripted scenes, they would seem pretty well acted out. Please people use some common sense.
Also the one thing which works against your argument completely is you are quoting 'the Voice host' - a rival singing competition on another channel. Yes they would obviously have no reason to lie. And obviously this rival show host would just happen to know all of the secrets of the XF
This was my initial reactionn, if the voice is so great, they should let their show do the talking instead of criticising their rivals to get publicity. At least every series of XF has produced somebody who at least had some success (series 1 G4 and jonathon anstell on his own, 2-shayne, he has been dropped now but did well at the beginning and had a good stint on rock of ages, 3-Leona-she may not be doing well now but nobody can deny her previous success, 4-Rhydian did well enough and is on the west-end now, 5-ALex (1st album), jls (still around 5 years later), Diana (number 1, west-end role too), 6-Olly (3 double platinum albums, 3rd album may be triple platinum by now, not sure), Joe is on his 4th album, stacey is still on tv and well liked. 7- Cher, rebecca, 1D all doing well, Matt is still releasing music at least, Mary did well too. 8-Little mix doing well, too early to say for others, amelia and misha have potential. 9-too early to tell but James has done well so far.
Whereas with the voice, we have had releases from tyler, vince, alex and leanne and they have not really taken off as much as XF artists.
And while BGT and X factor have at the very least managed to launch the career of certain contestants, the voice can't even boast that achievement yet to my knowledge.
The voice needs to stand on its own and let their achievement speak for themselves: rating-wise they are doing well enough globally (around the world) from what I understand, but as the credible career launching show that they boast about, they have yet to prove themselves... So stop criticizing the other talent shows and work on yours to make it more efficient.
Fair enough, I had never heard of him, but I believe you.
However, for a show that's been launched a couple of years ago and is happening twice a year now, even you must admit it's not that many.
The american X factor also has to prove itself, the first serie hasn't worked out.
Oh dear ...
They may not have fake arguments but the contestants are pre-selected and story built up in exactly the same way as x-factor. They'll put certain acts on to get certain reactions from the judges and know generally how they will play it.
The only difference is they can "claim" to be credible because they dont show "Steve - the guy who sounds like he's on helium who sings the hokey cokey"
Once you get past the spinny chairs, the Voice is terribly boring BECAUSE you dont have the more scripted stuff. It's the whole point of what made XF successful - it keeps people (or at least, should keep people) on the edge of their seats as if they are watching a soap cliffhanger
Is he also the same Reggie that said comparing the two shows is "unfair"? I believe he is.
Weren't most of them from before he was ever on the show though?
(You know, back when he was signed to a major record label who had ploughed money into him)
You need to be specific.
His chart hits are 25, 16, 60, 28 and 52
When have 60 and 52 been "top 40"?
Only two were post The Voice chart entries. Big woo.
Tyler's album only charted at 47, Steve Brookstein's first akbum at 1. Funny how you left that out.
It's pointless really, there's probably a portion of viewers who watch and enjoy both shows.
As others have said - let the show do the talking. This constant comparing is boring and a lot of the time the XF's biggest critics are it's own fans anyway he's not exactly telling us anything new.
Yes, The Voice is pure. X Factor is not. Of course.
By all accounts the series one acts didn't release singles because of the market at that time. Steve had a #1 album and sold 100,000 copies of his debut. G4 went on to sell 1 million albums.
In fact, out of the first 8 series of X Factor, 6 can boast discovering an act with album sales in excess of one million.
What? Do you think when Misha B was called a bully by Tulisa...Kelly's and Gary's reaction was rehearsed? Do you think it was rehearsed for the judges to laugh at Maloney all the time, even when behind him, his giant face was firing lasers everywhere? Do you honestly think that was rehearsed? Do you think Gary wouldn't be frustrated that a better singer like Carolynne that he was mentoring lost to a cheap gimmick like Rylan???! Or that Gary and Rylan had all sorts of arguments? Don't you think Gary would get annoyed that Rylan is a bad singer wouldn't like and he's getting through week after week? I mean didn't we feel that way when Ella lost to Rylan? Think about Gary being Kye's and Carolynne's mentor. Do you think everyone's frustration that Wagner still was in the competition rehearsed?
Instead of taking mick I suggest you actually counteract my arguments...make me understand why  . Public manipulation is on the X Factor, but not with judges arguments.
I don't care whether they're 'fake', it's a hell of a better watch than the show he fronts is.
Hooray.
