Is this some kind of record for a none 4G speed?

Not normally up to do a speed test this early in the morning/late at night but just got a 27.62mbps upload and 3.38mbps upload, that's superb for a none 4G speed is it not?

I get about 6mb download during the day though
Speeds above 10-15mbs aren't really important the coverage is far more important which is where 4G on all networks should shine as they all have 800MHz. In theory even the 2x5MHz EE and Three have should be enough spectrum to deliver consistent 10-20mbs speeds in nearly all indoor places.
The fastest I've had on mine is 12.81mbs (on Three).

Theoretical highest is 21mbps. But you'll probably never see more than 15/16Mbps in real life conditions.
The LTE version of Galaxy S3 supports up to 42Mbps
Afternoon/ evening is normally around 10-15 mbps
Here is the speed test image
However, since I've had a fault on my mast, the highest I've had is about 27-28Mbps.
over 18 down and 3 up. Pleasing.
Still on ios 6 huh?
Wow so there is faster although thats maxing it out almost
What device was that on?
That was an iPhone 5 running the last iOS 7 beta before the GM release. The mast is only at the end of the road so that helps!
Since they had the problem though I've not been able to go quite that fast.
Theres a fault and you still manage 27-28mbps, quit complaining, some people would be happy to get 5-10mbps lol
I know, I'm a perfectionist
Lately though it's been anything between 10-20mbps down.
I've found 3 upload speed to be not that great. For instance when I have 2-3 bars on vodafone I can get 3-4mbps upload, but when on that amount on 3 it's between 1-2 Mbps.
Your right I often struggle get above 3 mbs
This is inline with the average upload speed on Virgin Media's fibre optic broadband. Three loads web pages faster than any other network on most of the recent Root Metrics tests (excluding 4G). Most apps download data, few upload, and even if they do 3Mbps is pretty good for upload.
Yeah so it does make sense but noticed 4G on EE seems to offer far better upload speeds.
