Absolutely amazing. The best band in the world who played real music.

when Leeds were relegated in 1982 , in the match programme there were offers to buy tickets for the gig at eland roads in may 1982 , being only 21 money was tight and living 200 miles away I chose to go to leeds last few games
big mistake leeds were relegated and I never did get to see Queen live , they did play Wembley (not live aid) about mid 80s but it sold out
one of my biggest musical regrets was not seeing them live

They played at Wembly Stadium in 1986,but also added a date at Knebworth Park Herts the same year, at the end of the Magic Tour.
Freddie Mercury's last ever Queen tour was at Knebworth Park in 1986, NOT 1987.
Also, no official videos seem to exist of the concert. The only footage of the concert that seems to be available is someone filming one of the concert screens with their own camcorder.
Brian May has said that there was no footage except for what was shown on the Magic Years documentary, simply because no one pressed the record button to capture what was shown on the huge diamond screen at the top of the stage.

Wasn't there even any hints a little while before the concert that it might be the last ever one?
No, in 1986 there simply wasnt the same connection as there is now with bands.
You only got a quaterly newsletter and the occassional interview, the odd bit of crap (or truth in the paper, nothing else)
There have since been statements made by Brian and Roger about them all getting fed up with touring especially Freddie. In truth if Live Aid hadnt happened, the Magic Tour probably wouldnt have.
With Freddie being diagnosed in 1987, despite the 2 albums before he died and the one released after. There was always hope they would tour again, the reality being very different. Yes there was plently of speculation, mainly from the newspapers about his health. But as a fan, the albums were coming out and some of it was some of their best work.

I wish Freddie had been able to do a concert for The Miracle album as I would have loved to hear him sing songs like "I Want It All" live!

Apparently in a Mirror interview somewhere with Roger (I don't have link) they had provisionally booked venues for The Miracle but as you know the rest is history

Saw Queen at Main Road, Manchester in 1986 with my Mum, she was such a huge fan that she went to Knebworth also.
What a fantastic gig with Status Quo supporting. Happy days, I would love to go back an do it all again.

They were incredible. Freddie Mercury was great at working the crowd. One of the best vocalists imo.
I prefer the Budapest show over the more famous Wembley one by some margin.
I still can't help selfishly thinking what a shame it was we never got to hear Freddie sing any of the songs on Innuendo live.

I think he meat they played and recorded all their own material.;)
As a pose to being plastic stars relying on Cowell type figures.

Was going to go myself but could not stomach the thought of having to stand through Quo.
If i had known it was the last tour at the time i might have attended but there you go.

No none at all i do not even think Freddie if he knew he was ill had told the rest of the band.
Although its possible he may of done, but no there was no hint at all about it being their last tour.
Yes indeed the sad thing is when "The Miricle" album come out he was quite ill,as witnessed in the video for "i want it all"
