147, and similarly to a previous poster only a fraction of that consists of the 90s onwards stuff. The first title that would probably make my own top 250 was Once Upon A Time In The West at #21. My only WTF one was In The Name Of The Father - hideous, and possibly the start of DDL going up his own arse - although there are probably plenty of modern ones I haven't seen that I'd think the same about if I ever did.

They recently changed the criteria; films have to have to 25000 votes to qualify, meaning the likes of Life is Beautiful and Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans, which were fairly high on the list before, no longer qualify.

I think between 94 and 96. A bit of a guess as I'm counting films I've seen all the way through and not just parts of them on the TV.

They probably shouldn't allow films that are less than, say, 5 years old. The Avengers Assemble is the 82nd greatest film of all time? Really?

    Oh, and I've seen 82.

Hayao Miyazaki has 5 films currently on the list- Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and Castle in the Sky. The same number as Steven Spielberg. (Jaws, Raiders, Last Crusade, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan) I think Howl's inclusion is more questionable than Spirited Away, but those who like Miyazaki's work clearly really like it.
