Anyone played this yet? I haven't got a 3DS and its absolutely killing me because the first Luigis Mansion is one of my favourite games for the gamecube. Genuinely considering selling my girlfriend on ebay or something so I can afford to get one

3DSXL + Luigi's Mansion = Gaming perfection!!!! Nuff Said!!!
This is a proper sequel and fits perfect on the 3DS.
A budget price re-release/HD release of the original would be nice for the WiiU, i never had the change to play it during the brief period i owned a Gamecube, so the chance to see for myself why the game is held in such a high regard would be nice
there should have been a Wii U version..you never know
i own a mint copy of the Gamecube game..
i know what u mean it's probably because it's in missions and different mansions instead of just the one in the original. i still love this game know
I started playing it and it seems pretty good so far, but I'm off on study leave for my AS levels now, so I think I'll wait until after my exams to finish it.
The original Luigi's Mansion was intended to be a 3D game, but the idea was scrapped due to the difficulties involved. It's sequel is on the 3DS because it can finally allow the game to be in 3D.
It took Nintendo over a year to start finally releasing decent games on the 3DS. Initially, we had essentially no decent games until 3D Land and MK7 were released at the end of 2011, but now there is a whole load of new games set for release: Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, Animal Crossing, Yoshi's Island 3 and many other games I'm not much of a fan of, but many others are.
Let's hope NIntendo are doing the same with the WiiU so within a year we'll start getting loads of brilliant games.
As charming as all the reviews pointed out.
Loving it !
On the second level now, the water tower place. Enjoyed the boss fight at the end of the first level, its nice to use the old grey matter a little during a boss fight to defeat him, not to taxing tho, but just enough to make me think for a minute or two.
Gotta say this game has turned out to be rather brilliant, very unexpected!
I have probably enjoyed this more than any other game on my 3DS but the difficulty spike towards the end has really soured my experience.
Either the last or next to last level has you clearing 8 rooms and then expects you to beat about 15 ghosts at one time in a game with no checkpoints!!!
I don't have the time to keep wasting 15/20 minutes trying it.
