New song from Lauryn Hill called Neurotic Society http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jBBxFKCAaCo#! I'm not sure how I think about it but I think it will probably grow on me.

Terrible! I find her attitude toward the release of this new 'music' really off putting! She wouldn't even be entertaining the thought of releasing new material if she wasn't in financial difficulties!

It's not for entertainment. She's made it clear she's no longer an entertainer and she was in the studio with new materIal well before she got into her current predicament. Listen to the lyrics, it's not too bad.

This is what she wrote when releasing it: http://mslaurynhill.tumblr.com/

    A blog I agree with: http://toniblackman.wordpress.com/2013/05/05/lauryn-hill-and-the-universe/

well I will be listening to this for sure, it is far too long since she released her sublime miseducation and I have been waiting patiently for a follow up for all these years, what with avril's new album this could be a potentially great year for music

I have just read about this on bbc, and it sounds like she is claiming she didn't pay her taxes for 3 years because she is a 'child of slaves who had a financial system imposed on them' and because she had retired from public life to bring up her 6 kids. Sorry, what?

I haven't listened to the new track, I was never over-enamoured with her the first time round, but when I hear lame excuses like the above from 'stars' for not paying their way it just makes me lose any respect or admiration I had for them.

I quite like the song, she was a great talent in the 90s and it's just nice to hear her again. I'm not sure she'll be able to live up to the high standard of 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill', but I'm definitely interested in the new album.

Her tax evasion and recent comments are just more proof that she's completely lost the plot in the last few years, but I'm hoping she hasn't lost her musical spark just yet.

Sounds like something Mos Def would have thrown in the bin.
