Hi
My aunt has got a new laptop and is having a few problems with it, so I've said I'll log in remotely and have a look. I know it should be straightforward, but I've never actually had to do it.
I've got the client for my Macbook, what steps does my aunt have to do at her end to give me remote access? We're not on the same network.
thanks!

You would be much better with TeamViewer at both ends.

What's the best way?
You install the extension and it appears on the homepage. Your aunt then clicks on it and then clicks the "share" button. It gives her an access code that she tells you over the phone. You click on the "Access" button and put in the code she gave you. Bingo, you're controlling her computer.
The following executable link can be found on the TeamViewer homepage as 'Join Remote Control Session' (underneath the big green 'Download' button).

I didn't know about that, cheers! She's not running Chrome though, and more than one browser just gets confusing for her. I'll stick with TeamViewer. Doing it this afternoon so fingers crossed.
Managed to seamless transfer some child porn and have called the police.
