Danny Boyle (?) has been recently quoted as it may well happen soon, although Ewan McGregor has said he's 100% not interested in it.

I agree with you on that. there haven't been many Disney sequel's I have enjoyed. Aladdin : The Return of Jafar was wierd with the Genie not being voiced by Robin Williams.
I did however enjoy 102 Dalmatians, Glenn Close as Cruella in both films was brilliant!

This is one film that i wouldn't mind being remade actually. There is scope there to make a great film
