What happens if you don't go to court when summoned?

My Brothers Girlf was supposed to go to court today.
She had her original court date about a month ago, for driving without a licence and without insurance. She lied to the police, and gave my Brothers surname instead of her own... but when she filled in the court forms she used her actual surname which then led to a lot of previous stuff coming out of the woodwork. This included outstanding arrest warrants for theft (I think shoplifting) and also £800 of unpaid fines.
When the court realised this, they told her she would have to come back at a later date, so they could look at everything together and decide how to proceed.
Today was the day she was supposed to go back - but she didn't bother going
Anyone know what may happen now?

Edit- And this was related to his first offence. Your brother's girlfriend should hand herself in, when they do catch up with her it will look better if she handed herself in.
She didn't turn up at court, she has arrest warrants for other crimes and she owes £800 in fines. I would be amazed if they didn't arrest and detain her. I mean, how much does she think she can get away with?
She's pregnant though - so maybe that will affect the outcome.
1.to press charges or...
2.do your mum for aiding and abeting
She would be better off surrendering herself to a police station.
Yeah it's probably why she ain't so keen to go to court.
Sorry to keep talking about my brother but after going to court on the monday they let him off lightly but basically his punishiment was he had to go to the probation office every week for six months, he had a twelve month suspended sentence and he also had to do 20 hours of community service, he failed to do all this and ended up in prison, he's a moron.
Hopefully her baby will have a better outcome. Fancy having a mum like that?
No need to apologise - thanks for giving me the info!
I have to agree, your Brother is a Moron (sorry!!!)... I reckon my Brothers Girlf will get community service but like your Brother I don't think she'll bother doing it. She really thinks she is above the law.
I hope they come down on her like a tonne of bricks. Sorry I know that sounds mean, but she really is a piece of work.
I'm surprised the police didn't charge either of them for allowing her to drive without insurance.
I know
She already has five 3 are with her Mum, the other 2 with their Dad's... I don't hold out much hope for this one. Child protection are already involved
I thought this too, it's a bizarre situation. That perhaps would've been better, forced my Mum's hand into pressing charges. I've still no idea why she didn't
They have a mother and baby unit I believe in one prison at least, so maybe the judge might see through her cockiness.
Why is your brother with her? Sorry, I feel sorry for you and your family though.
Well Child Protection have already threatened to possibly take the child away when it is born apparently...
I have no idea why he is with her. He has low self esteem, I can only imagine that perhaps he thinks he can't do any better? I don't know. I've made my opinions clear on the matter.
It's just been a nightmare since she came into our lives. Which is why I am hoping she gets locked up. Give my Brother some space to think about whether or not he really wants to be with her... He certainly doesn't want the child I think he has been trapped
She will be in the proverbial doo doo.
Hope your brother wakes up soon
No way will they leave it until the next time! She is very stupid not to have turned up at court.
Good luck to her!
I don't know but I do think it is quite staggering how much personal stuff some posters are prepared to put on here about their family's and friends' personal business.
I would never post anything about the problems / issues of my nearest and dearest.
