Lol. Wonderful, as if the whole 'is it Sarah or Sarah-Jane?' thing wasn't dividing the Whoniverse enough already. ;)

Who threads are also gonna get a lot more spiritual, at least if the predilection to abbreviate cast and crew to their initials is anything to go by. :D

That's a shame, I thought that Jenna Louise Coleman is a rather brilliant name and I think it looks better in the opening credits than just Jenna Coleman will. :D

I agree but she's probably* fed up of people on internet forums reducing her name to JLC and then other people thinking they are on about Justin Lee Colins.

    *or maybe not :D

Maybe her agent is hoping casting directors will confuse her with Olivia Colman.

    Interesting.

Jenna Coleman sounds a bit more prosaic.

Haha. :D I'm probably going to continue to call her JLC forever anyway, :p

I'm not sure it's a good move, casting wise. The "Louise" made her name stand out more, imo. Jenna Coleman sounds a bit ordinary. Still, it's up to her.

So she'll be JC rather than JLC. :D

This thread made me realise how very fond I am of Jenna as Clara - my first thought was that she was leaving DW and I felt very disappointed.

I totally agree with you on the casting thing.

Haha, yeah, I see what you mean, when I saw the title I felt an unexpected (I didn't think I was attached to the character all that much tbh) stab in my heart at the thought of her leaving at this point, but then I recalled reading something about the name thing earlier today. :)

    Good.
I think "Louise" is one of the most hideous names in existence and I have no idea why there are so many hyphenated names which end with it.

When they introduced her as 'Jenna Coleman' at the NTA's recently, I thought...
'Oooh, how common. Makes her sound a bit Chip Shop!?'
I do hope she changes her mind.
Jenna Louise Coleman sounds so much classier.
Let her mate's oop Blackpool call her Jenna.

Oh damn, I got my hopes up....:o;) Never mind I suppose.....this thread's title will be a true statement one day though! :p

To be honest, I think it sounds better with the Louise...Jenna Coleman doesn't sound right to me. The name Jenna doesn't on it's own sounds right regardless to me...the Louise balanced it out...

I reject this outright and in protest I'm now only going to refer to her as Louise. :p

Nah, still gonna refer to her as Jenna-Louise Coleman.

Is this a sign that they're casting Julian Rhind-Tutt and she was pressured to let him be the only one with a hyphenated name? ;)

Well I've always referred to he as Jenna when not using her last name but Jenna Louise Coleman sounds so much nicer than Jenna Coleman.
