No way someone that says "If you like it should put a ring on it", shaking their bootie half naked should be allowed on this list.:D

And Britney, and Burke, Alba:eek: why?:confused:

PJ Harvey is my choice, but i do not want her on a list with those people.:D

Another vote for PJ here, fantastically talented woman and very private too.

Kathleen Hanna, Lionel Shriver and Amanda Palmer get my vote also.

She does have to endure death threats and a lot of hate considering all she does is sing. She's very talented.

Yes, she has come a long way. I do support Obama but I'd like to see her tackle that job too.

Tina Fey, the woman is a comedic genius. Her recent book 'Bossypants' is brilliantly funny.
The personification of a strong and very talented woman.
Accordingly a lovely person too. Everyone who works with her praises both her work ethic and abilities as a writer/performer.
To quote Tina 'I want to go there' :D

First person who popped into my head when I saw the thread title was Madonna.

I have to also add Jennifer Lopez. I have a grudging respect for her choosing to dance rather than be a lawyer like her parents wanted and I admire her determination.

Well now you mention it, I just thought of Tina Turner. She more than deserves to be described as strong and talented :)

    Why so?

    Aretha Franklin
    Chrissie Hynde
    Debbie Harry
    Alison Moyet
    Annie Lennox
    Kate Bush
    Dolly Parton
    Bonny Raitt
    Tina Turner
    Joni Mitchell

And that's without even thinking about it.

    Hey y'all,

So I just heard Clive Davis is releasing a memoir and spreading false information about me and my music… http://t.co/YPAISlsa

    Dame Maggie Smith
    JK Rowling
    Ann Hathaway
    Emma Stone
    Tina Fey
    Michelle Obama
Demi Lovato (to an extent; she's a young woman whose dealt with a lot of body image issues which I can strongly and very much relate to so perhaps that contributes to me thinking she's a strong person).
    Judi Dench
    Helena Bonham Carter
    Catherine Tate

I'm sure I can think Iof more. There's a lot of fantastic women out there, unfortunately the media doesn't often focus on them.
