This reliance on sequels is getting to be a worry for Pixar. The Toy Story trilogy is a masterpiece, but I'd rather have new ideas rather than recycled old ones.
One of my all time favs films and the fact I am in my 20's, I am proud to admit that
Dory is hilarious and sometimes i you tube scenes of her if i am need of a laugh
Has Pixar ever released its show reels? Back in my university days, Pixar's show reels were circulated around film classes. The reels were meant for a lecturer's private inspection as he was a judge for a festival or similar, but two students made copies and circulated them until the lecturer found out. I can only remember these:
- a big lamp and a little lamp act as a parent and a child.
- a kettle struggles to solve a dilemma of getting its plug to a socket
- a goofy snowman tries to find a way out of his glass dome to join the others
- a unicycle juggles a few colourful balls under a spotlight
I would love to see them again. I'm hoping they are available on YouTube or somewhere if Pixar hasn't officially released them.

I don't think it's the BEST Pixar but it's gorgeous to watch.
Not sure what they'll do for a sequel though.
They are doing a sequel??? Noooooo  It'll probably be crap unless it's something TOTALLY different (i.e. nobody getting lost and having to find them) Is it a cinema release or going straight to DVD?
Almost. Same lamps, but the one I saw must be an early version because it was shorter and the background wasn't that detailed. It was all black and brown. No plug socket. I don't think there was any cords. The ball was in one colour. Red, I think? Great to see that video, though. Thank you.
never seen it before...what a great movie...loved it!!
Best animated film I have ever seen and I can not wait until the sequel.
I have seen it at least 15 times. My wife and I love it. We watched it twice in one day the once.

Hilarious and heartwarming.
Pity no one agrees with me

I agree with you.

My personal Pixar fave is A Bug's Life which often gets overlooked.
Brave looked fantastic but was very 'safe' and 'pedestrian'
