What Now was serviced to Australian media as the 4th single from Unapologetic, following on from: Diamonds, Stay and Right Now.
I hadn't heard the song for awhile, but I think it's rather good, I'd put it as the second best single of the album campaign behind Diamonds.
What's your thoughts? Would you like it to be the next UK release?

I love What Now, it's one of my favourites from the album. I also really like Jump and Loveeeeeee Song.
Besides, people obviously liked Rihanna's more mature material, so 'WN' can pick up where 'Stay' left off. IF it is promoted, that is. But I believe it may be. The laziness behind the release of 'RN' can be explained by the fact it was a contracted single and that the label would HAVE to release it anyway.
That explains a lot. Why did they even buy it though? It's naff imo.
Cheers was released in August, and Talk That Talk was released the following November. Sure, the song was released in early August, but still. There's plenty of time for her to release a new single and album. It's Rihanna, not La Roux or Gaga. :P
No it's not. It's just a few Rihanna fans who say that. However, Talk That Talk is officially the 3rd single from that album, Where Have You Been the 4th. Every source in the music industry will say that.
I do like What Now and am happy to see it released, even though I know it'll be luckily to be even given a single artwork. I do think that Nobodies Business, Loveeeeee Song or Jump would be more suitable releases. Or even Half of Me if they really wanted another ballad, not that the era needs one.
yeah, i think her single releases have been all over the place since then too and it is frustrating. i can only conclude that perhaps the label doesn't really care much about chart positions as long as the album sells moderately well with sales above 3 million or hopefully more and that she sells millions of digital tracks. what else could they possibly expect releasing albums and singles so frequently?
i was reading the other day that she sells a ridiculous amount of digital songs and singles from each album in the us. something like over 10 million songs from "loud", over 8 million tracks from "talk that talk" and over 7 million tracks already from "unapologetic". sure, it seems like a classic of diminishing returns, but with over 25 million tracks sold in under 3 years just in the us, i doubt the label are complaining too much.
i do agree though that the sheer amount of wasted material left on the albums is a waste on the whole and some singles haven't reached their potential through poor promotion.
No it dosen't. "Cheers" got released in the UK in August/ September and we still got "We Found Love" with the album in November
Yeah cos I remember We Found Love had just been released and was #1, and Cheers was still floating around the charts around about #20.
HAHAHAHA I love Rihanna but this is so true
it wouldn't surprise me, actually it wouldn't surprise anyone.:D hopefully, she will go back to making more videos with the next release and once the tour is out of the way.
