Basically I need a new phone and have like two months left on my iPhone 4s contract... on EE
I was thinking of buying out my contract and moving to three....and getting the htc one
the htc one is kinda old now so i was maybe thinking of waiting for the next htc one?

when is the nexus 5 out
Just get the htc one you wont be disappointed
Does that make it a bad phone?
I've had HTC phones for years...going back to when Orange were putting them out as SPV. HTC One is, imo, their best phone yet and the best mobile I've ever used.
Where exactly did I say it was a bad phone?? This is what I said:
Is this rationale wrong given the thread title is:
when is the nexus 5 out?
I have read in a few places that end of October is being suggested.
Only rumours at the moment but worth a read:

I reckon a similar spec to the LG G2 without the imo silly rear buttons.
So I won't ever buy another . But that's just me .
is the nexus that good
its a budget phone isnt it? since i am going to be on a contract i dont want a budget phone
i fully agree. if the nexus 5 gets good reviews and costs less than £300 i would deffo but it sim free and then go on a sim only deal with three. i agree there is no point being stuck on a 24 month contract with a phone that costs £300 or less
obviously when the handset costs £500, thats when a contract becomes more needy
I've a nexus 4 and the only thing I found budget about it was the price. So worth checking it when we have more confirmed details.
Nice one. if the Nexus 5 does come in at £300 then that equates to £12.50/mth over 24 months. Even the 30 day One Plan with all you can eat data (including tethering), 2000 mins, 5000 texts, 5000 3 to 3 mins and free upgrade to 4G when available is only £18/mth (£15/mth if you are happy to accept a 12 month commitment) so effectively the total monthly price is as low as £27.50/mth. Killer deal.
how much do you think the next nexus will be?
also is it that a good phone
im putting of getting the htc one just to wait for the nexus
Surely at less than/around £300 the 'undercut' would be closer to £200 than £100?
Even at the original price and at the time it was released it was a high end phone at a mid market price, basically. I expect the N5 to follow suit but time will tell.
so its better to buy it outright then go on a sim only deal with three for £15 a month
tbh i wanted a phone for mainly listening to my itunes collection as i travel to uni etc...but i have chosen to buy a separate ipod mainly because the batteries on these phones dont last long so me listening to music constantly and browsing may give me only 1/2 a day of usage
I even know two others that had an HTC Wildefire S and an HTC Selsa and had similar problems as me and have now since got rid of there HTC.
The Nexus 4 is one of the best phones I have ever had so far.
