I've just seen a trailer for this new show starting on Universal Channel on Thursday 12th September at 9pm. Looks interesting. Set in present day.

I've watched the entire first season, it was brilliant. Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore are stunning in it.

Is that Freddie Highmore? Wow I didn't recognise him. He's all grown up. :D

I've seen this. Loved it. My favourite new show of the year.

Vera Farmiga is incredible as Norma.

I watched this thinking I wouldn't like it. I am a big Hitchcock fan. This series is quite brilliant. I thoroughly recommend it.

Saw trailer for first time last night after hearing good things about the show and am now really looking forward to the series starting although it does mean Motive will have finished which is one of my fav programmes at the moment.

It's received several Emmy nominations including Vera Farmiga for Best Actress. So hopefully that's a good sign.

Always meant to catch up with this online but haven't got around to it. Will put this on series link when it starts. Thanks for the info, OP. :)

I think this show allows us to view it from a different perspective, I think Norma Bates is quite likable and is not like the stuffed corpse who Norman hears talking to him in the films. She's just very protective of her son.

I can't really say any more without giving too much away,

    Agreed.
Although, if they are using the HItchcock film as a guide then they may have to kill her off at some point. Which might be the show's downfall, because I think Vera is the best thing about it.

Wouldnt have thought this was a universal type show. Thought Bates motel was a very adult show or has it been toned down?

Not much swearing but a lot of violent scenes. No nudity though.

I've got all the episodes on a USB. I will definitely be watching again.
