I have a spare standing ticket for Queens Of The Stone Age at wembley on Friday, if anyone wants it you can have it for face value. Just send me a private message and we will sort it out.
On the offchance that this whole thing has been a complete misunderstanding and Ian Watkins is found not guilty of all charges, what does that mean for the future of Lostprophets I wonder?

I believe the rest of them called it quits and split the band a couple of months ago. If he is found not guilty I very much doubt we would ever see him in the public eye again, far too much stigma attached to him for any other band to even consider getting together with him. He will forever be tainted with being the guy who was arrested for THOSE images/videos, regardless of his guilt or not. And no band would want that hanging around their reputation forever would they?

They've already split up. I read it a month or so ago.
Well that was a great Queens of the Stone Age gig, highlights for me Sick, Sick, Sick, Vampyre of Time and Memory, Little Sister
Sounds great, looking forward to seeing them tomorrow and Saturday! What were the support like? Must confess to have never heard of either Sweethead or Band Of Skulls.
I have just discovered them, myself, and am liking what I am hearing.
Oh I love Five horse Johnson! And I have finally come across someone else who has heard of them! My favourite albums of theirs are The mystery spot and the no 6 dance so check those two out if you haven't already. They also conveniently have a heavy link to my beloved Clutch in that John Paul Gaster the drummer from clutch has played drums on the last two Five Horse Johnson albums The Mystery Spot and The Taking Of Black Heart. Also the fantastic blazing harmonica solo in the Clutch track Electric Worry is done by the frontman of Five Horse Johnson Eric Oblander.
Hell yeah!! Class band. Played Belfast twice (had to suffer Clutch headlining though LOL - was not a fan then of the band - slowly warming to them now).
But Five Horse are awesome - huge ZZ Top style boogie, plenty of blues harp!

Sorry I was in Harvesters stuffing my face when they were on, had looked them up on youtube and didn't fancy either of them
For Clutch connections, check out The Company Band, who I prefer over Clutch at this stage, and then Fireball Ministry.
Fireball in particular were a big influence on Baleful Creed
Yeah The Company Band are a great little outfit, loved the first album not so sure about the pros and cons ep they put out last year though. Didn't seem as good to me just felt like some odds and sods they had left over from the first record. While we are recommending related bands to them can I just recommend the last CKY album Carver City to you all. I know CKY are much maligned due to the unfortunate connection with Jess' idiot brother but that album is an absolute corker!

Also, apologies for the horrible Pink Floyd cover

Saw that earlier on Youtube but why on earth is METAL Hammer reporting on it?

There is nothing terribly groundbreaking there but it isn't awful either.

I did notice the ZZ Top style with them. Must say, it is only now that I am getting into Clutch as well. Never bothered about them previously.
I thought that the first time I heard it too! I heard that and then I had their previous 5 albums within a week!

Pros and Cons slipped through my purchase radar for some reason - off to ebay I go!
Yeah I have that on download, refuse to pay the 20 odd quid it currently goes for for a 4 track ep!
