For me, it's a South Bank special on Jimi Hendrix from late 1989.

The earliest full programme I have on video is The Picture Of Dorien Grey from March 1986 taped off Tyne Tees, complete with fantastic 1980's adverts :)

What a great question! I've got a Late Late Breakfast Show from 1984, and a Kenny Everett Show from 1981.

The very first night of Comic Relief, when it was the best of a stage show done at Shaftsbury Theatre. From 1986, I think.

I think we've got 'The Good The Bad And The Ugly' film that was recorded on BBC One back in 1983! I know it was around that time because we've also got a short home video from August 1983 on the same tape straight afterwards (three years before I was born).

As for my oldest videos, I've still got loads of CITV shows like 'The Sooty Show' on tape from 1990/1991!

Some football footage from 1989. A lot of football and WWE videos from 1990 onwards which I should burn to DVD before my VCR dies.

It might be "Boys From The Blackstuff" that was recorded off the BBC in 1982

    The Young ones

Second series first broadcast - 1983 I think, plus repeats of first series.
Might be somewhere gathering dust in my loft - although of course I actually deleted them within 30 days of recording to comply with OfCom guidelines on home recordings for personal use.

Also got Rik Mayall's Jackanory reading of George's Marvelous medicine.

Did have some of "Who Dares Wins" from 1983/4 as well

It's either the first episode of Thomas The Tank Engine, or an episode of Blackadder. I'm not sure.

Ive got the European Cup Final from 1982, plus a part of the final edition of World of Sport. Ive also got the final edition of Russ Abbots Madhouse from his ITV years which is a fantastic compilation. Also the final edition of Pot Black, Sports Personality of the Year from 1985, Thats TV Entertainment which was a BBC anniversary celebration and a similar one for sport.
