Eneloop batteries

Currently I use Ansmann rechargeables, both 2700s and 2400s. I also use an Ansmann charger. The wireless mouse for my main desktop pc will run through a couple of the AAs in two weeks or so (I haven't made an accurate study of the time). In other less intense environments such as remote controls they last longer. Worryingly little blisters have started to manifest themselves on some of the Ansmanns, they are about three/four years old. Shop bought disposables last much, much longer in the mouse. So a couple of questions please: Are Eneloop batteries the bees knees of rechargeables and would it be sensible to change to them? Or would I be better off buying the occasional multi-pack of disposables from a supermarket and forget about rechargeables all together? Thank you.

Enelopp are very good - and would recommend getting rid of the ones you have as they sound broken.
