Former shagger of the year Russell Brand gets up and close with his fans.
And it certainly looks like ladykiller Russell Brand is making the most of the female attention his fame achieves.

The comedian, 37, was lapping it up as he mobbed following his stand-up gig at the Lyric Theatre in central London.

Russell Brand is an awesome guy. I never understand why people dislike him so much. Every year he comes to a school in a poor neighborhood in San Francisco and has a meditation with all the kids from the schools in the area. It's amazing to see him jumping around and getting all the kids riled up, but then as soon as he says "okay kids, it's time to meditate" every single one of them becomes silent and follows his lead. Afterwards he stays and talks to whoever wants to have a chat with him. He might be sex obsessed, but he seems like a really great guy when you meet him.

    And your point is?

The girl with pink hair, it's obvious Russell is kissing her on the cheek - it's the Daily Fail who are insinuating otherwise

I agree. I know a lot of people who have met him and not one of them has a bad word to say about him.
He admits himself he loves women in a Sun reader sort of way and has probably lived a lot of mens dream by getting the chance to put his fantasy shags into action.

It's hardly a secret that he gladly takes up the offers of some willing female fans. It was even joked about in his early radio days.

That is lovely, I know he does lots of good work but wasn't aware of that. I really am very fond of Russell, yes he likes the ladies but that's no major crime. Also love the fact he has been very respectful of Katy in interviews after the split. I would love to meet him and think he'd be fascinating

Indeed, I find it really interesting when he talks about addiction too - his Addiction documentary with the BBC was really interesting to watch.

I used to really dislike him, back in the days of Big Brother's Big Mouth (was it that he presented?), but he's grown on me so much since then, I find him really likeable.

Loved his interview with the Westboro Baptist Church too. :o

I agree too. I loved both of his autobiographies. He's never pretended to he anything other than who he is.

That addiction documentary was great, watched it about 3 times he just seems to have this really genuine empathy with people and ability to get on their level.

Not seen the Westboro thing, keep hoping it will get repeated again so I can

I agree, it sounds silly but there's little things like he had his hand on the woman he was talking to's knee when she was speaking to the rehabilitation programme leader, and he puts people at ease a lot.

The interview with the Westboro baptist church is here on YouTube if you want to watch :)

Doesn't sound silly to me at all, for me it was all the little things & gestures, he just really seemed to 'get it'- made me well up several times, but I'm a bit soppy. When he was in the back of the car with the lady going to rehab and his mum driving-just seemed so honest & very touching, anyway must stop gushing or it'll start me off again.

Thanks for the link-my computer hates youtube but will play vids at a push so will give it a try:)

Oh they do this every time, hetero overdrive at the DM. Usually because the guy isn't/totally hetero.

Are you sure you know the meaning of the word misogynist?:D

I think Russell is such a fascinating and complicated person. He seems very genuine and not changed by his fame. And if you read his autobiographies, it's clear that behind the charisma and personality he is actually sensitive, deep thinking and very intelligent.

..I still don't know what this is clown is famous for other than being an MTV VJ who started to dress like a Victorian pimp and ripped off the character of Kenneth Williams.

But in the days of people becoming world famous due to porn videos, it makes sense.

He's a disgusting, misogynist sex pest.

He's also a very eloquent, literate, clever, insightful and funny man.

In what way is he disgusting? Because he has sex and is very open about it? Are there any examples of him saying/doing anything of a misogynistic nature? Sex pest is a very crude term for someone who has actually admitted and been very public with the fact that they suffer from a sex addiction and have tried to receive treatment for it.

Comedian, actor, documentary presenter, radio DJ.......

Have you ever listened to any of his comedy routines? They are pure genius.

He is a terrible actor, his performances in Arthur and St.Trinian's highlights this.

Never listened to his Radio show.

As far as his comedy routine goes... It's genius to blithering idiots yes, but I was raised on George Carlin, Sam Kinison and Bill Hicks and Brand to them would be like comparing a Ford Fiesta to a Mercedes A Class.

Well I've never heard of any of those three, so I can't compare them. Are they American? I rarely find American humour funny, and as a result don't really know the names of most of the USA comedians.

But if you actually listen to Russell's comedy, it is very clever. I don't think "blithering idiots" would understand some of the vocabulary involved for a start.

Look sweet-cakes, I know you have a Girl crush on Russell, I know he has a legion of slightly plump (not saying you are) pre-dominantly funny coloured hair and piercings young Girls, I am aware of this.

But just because he throws in a couple of big words here and there...doesn't all of a sudden make him Noam Chomsky.

As far as Carlin, Hicks and Kinison goes..they are NOTHING what you might think to be archetypal American comedy, quite the opposite..infact Hick's biggest fan-base was here in England.

None of those words in your first paragraph could be used to accurately describe me, not even young anymore unfortunately, as I'm a similar age to Russell himself. He has fans of all age groups, and male fans too. A male friend of mine (who is not gay) absolutely loves him.

I admire him for his creativity, wit, energy and enthusiasm, honesty, and uniqueness really.

Your use of the word "sweet-cakes" (even if humorously), indicates that you are exactly the kind of person RB would be likely to take the mickey out of, so is it any wonder you can't relate to his style of humour?
