He was being slated for acting one way with Emily, and another with KP. People went all Victorian about the dry-humping. FM's are trying to point out that people do modify their behaviour according to who they are with. But that just created outrage that he could be so disrespectful to St Katie.

But that doesn't really address my point, does it? If I wanted to defend someone I liked, who I thought was being unfairly judged, the last person I would compare them to is someone I had no respect for. I would find someone much higher up the scale and compare them favourably to them.

I don't like runner beans. I do like cauliflower. I do not say "At least this cauliflower is not runner beans".

It defeats your argument. However Kp was behaving, Pa is an adult who makes adult choices, He chose to behave like he did. He is responsible for that. No-one else.

    Seconded.

I get really angry about nobodies extending this rubbish elsewhere.

    What does this mean?

You seem to have missed my point again. Oh well.

I don't give a crap about his dry-humping. To me, it was done for a laugh. I don't get all uptight about it.

For those of us that like/support/defend neither, it just proves our point - they can only be seen as "good" in comparison with the other. The other thing it proves is how linked they are, even in the minds of the fans/anti-fans.

Can't agree with you there. I'm quite happy to be labelled a 'fan' of Pete but I'm bored to death of them still being linked together and the constant raking over of events that happened years ago. Definitely time to de-couple them. I also prefer to treat posters as individuals rather than 'us' and 'them', and will listen to views across the spectrum, apart from posters who persistently bait others who are best placed on ignore. Not all fans think exactly the same so I presume it's the same case for 'anti-fans', if that's the term you want to use.

To be fair, you have yet to make a point that answers my question, therefore making it easy to miss. Oh well. :)

I know this, and I apologise for the generalisation. As to the anti-fan, it seems better than hatah!

    Agreed.

Other than baiting, I really am confused by the constant need to be rude.

Fifi, you're right. I will use the ignore feature for the WUMs & strawman fans.
It's obvious what the 'point' was to anyone without the 'as bad as each other' agenda.

    Well said, Sensei.

That's been bugging me for ages on here, these blanket statements - 'you fans, you people, you lot' - that give the impression of assuming one person's opinion on here represents that of everyone else on a (for want of a better term) 'side'.

In this instance it's about how the two of them interacted, so of course it's pertinent.
Who said he wasn't respnsible for how he behaved???
    No-one
But he did respond like with like in THAT relationship...it was something they both appeared happy with.....but a dynamic that won't work in EVERY relationship.
How this has been translated into him being disrespectful to KP or make's Emily a 'saint' is the oddity here.

    This one...
I didn't say you couldn't - however, I really do not understand why you can only defend him by invoking her. My opinion of her is as low as my opinion of him, so the comparison damns him with very faint praise, and certainly not encouraging me to change my opinion.

The only people who would care about bringing Kp up in the Pa thread are Kp fans. There are not many of them.
    and the same one here...

again, can't stand either of them, so comparing him to her is like comparing lice and worms to me. Why would you constantly compare his behaviour to the behaviour of someone you dislike and do not respect?

It was the subject Betty. He was being attacked for the way he disrespects KP in their shows, because he dry-humped her. How ungentlemanly & disgusting he is etc. So surely someone can answer to that by mentioning her behaviour.
I've just seen a clip where she's having another boob job & she has her anaesthetic. She then starts doing porn moans & feeling herself up. PA just rolls his eyes. That is how she acted on their shows, so for people in her defense to constantly bring up what a smutt he is, is hypocritical.

I don't see anyone defending her behaviour at all..all I saw was someone claiming Peter behaved this way because of her and people pointing out that it was down to him.. She didn't make him do anything..

You said they are both as bad as each other. On this thread. Regarding the smut. THAT is why I'm saying he isn't as bad as her. Because YOU were the one comparing them.
When he shoves a bottle up himself for a photo & tells journalists & crowds of the public about his dirty strap-on adventures, then you may have a point.

I never said she made him do anything. But he was blamed for the dry blowjob in the car & being smutty. So it's pertinent to mention what actually happened there.

And what stuck in mine is the fact that PA gets talked about like he's the dirty smutty one & KP should be treat with more respect. The dry blowjob regularly gets thrown. At HIM!:D Hypocritical. All the poster was saying is that he doesn't do that with Emily, because she wouldn't act like that. It's that simple.

And all some of us are saying is that he is equally as culpable as her. Nobody (well, certainly not me) is suggesting that she deserves anything resembling respect, but the ridiculous assertion that he only behaved in that way because she is 'slutty' is belittling HIM and making HIM out to be a pathetic man-child.
