This must have been the best film I have seen in a while. It will be nigh on impossible to top this.

:) Just received my DVD of THIS (history of the worlds' greatest story

Have to say, despite being a lot of stuff I've seen on the South Bank show etc, plus clips from You Tube on the film making, it was enjoyable, though worth the money? I don't know.

 I think for die-hard Les Miz nutters only. But not a total waste of either time or money, there were a few things I hadn't seen before. :)

I don't think she will win. Anne doesn't seem to win fan awards. Esp when she's up against younger actresses, with younger fans. Hopefully the Les Mis fandom can help Anne and Eddie to a win. Would be nice for them :)

Though Anne losing the Best Musical Moment category would be a kick in the teeth

Nice to see Eddie getting some recognition at last after being basically ignored.

According to THIS the release date of the DVD is March 22nd. It's the same date as the US release so I'm not entirely believing it until I get my grubby little paws on it.

:( Hmm. On amazon it says it wont be released until 13th May. Think I will be buying a Region 1 version.

It's 13th May, it's on the Facebook page.

I'm in the US until the 22nd, might try and find a copy before I leave!

It's probably just silly wondering if the UK extras will differ from the US release? Knowing us we'll get less of what they have!

Mostly English production crew (and director, obviously) so there's some potential for UK-only features, but given that from a studio perspective it's a straight up American blockbuster, I can't see it. It's a bit like Harry Potter in that respect - British in spirit, American in reality.

Can a Les Mis fan help?

Where in the film does the title appear?

Is it at the start or one of those films where the title comes on at the end?

    Thanks

At the end. After the main credits are "flashed," and before the full credits roll.

So silly having different release dates and a mecca for privacy.

It will be all over the internet before it is even released here - why do that? Do they want to lose sales?

    Privacy or piracy?

    It's all ready 'out there'.

Kolin, totally unrelated and O/T but I've been having an Eddie Redmayne lovefest lately. I know you need no nudging for that :p
Have you seen "My Week With Marilyn" or "Tess of The D'Urbeville's"? He is magnificent, especially in the former.

Nearly ready to go on to "Pillars Of The Earth" :)
