Fancy something a bit different? How does a curved screen sound?! Samsung have launched the Galaxy Round with a curved screen.

Yep. The Galaxy Nexus did as well, and the Nexus 4 has tapered glass edges.
As does the Nokia Lumia 800
we're talking about curved screens, not tapered edges.
let's keep it to actual curved screens and not just tapered edges.
The Galaxy Nexus has a curved screen actually, I'm well aware of the thread topic. The Nexus 4 also has a form of curved glass designed to facilitate swiping. It's fair obvious that these examples are relevant to the thread topic.
your message i quoted mentioned the nexus 4 with tapered edges, thus why i said let's keep it to actual curved screens.
having a nexus 4 myself i know all about its tapered edges, but it certainly does not have a curved screen.
The iPhone 5, loads of videos and pics available showing bent phones lol
Would like to see what it actually looks like, but it seems it isn't destined for this country just yet.
The message you quoted also mentioned the Galaxy Nexus with Contour Display. A curved screen device.
sigh... yes but you're message also included tapered edges, and i said lets stay away from tapered edges.
is that so difficult for you to grasp?
if anything it should be curved the vertically like the nexus s was, so that it fits your face.
having it curve horizontally doesn't make a lot of sense really.
What I'm finding difficult is why you seem to be arguing such a non-point. The Nexus 4 is also relevant as it features curved glass (albeit at the edges) to enhance the usability of the device much like the Galaxy Round and Galaxy Nexus. It's as simple as that.
you're the one arguing it, not me.
i simply said lets keep it to devices that have a curved SCREEN. the nexus 4 does not have a curved SCREEN. the SCREEN is flat.
Indeed!
If anyone has difficulty understanding what a curved screen is they can click the link I posted when I started the thread and see it.
Why are you writing in capitals?
Clearly this has struck a nerve. I mentioned the Nexus 4 as a secondary example to demonstrate other implementations of enhancing the usability of a device through screen/glass designs.
I suspect I'm in the minority here of actually having owned a curved screen device, the Galaxy Nexus, so I actually have experience with curved screen devices. You seem to have omitted the fact that the Galaxy Nexus was my first example in this thread.
The Galaxy Nexus also had a curved screen, but the Amoled display under the glass was resolutely flat - it was the glass that had the (very slight) curvature to it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The Verge reviews are generally thorough and the curvature to the screen is simply mentioned in passing suggesting it was merely a cosmetic part of that design.
Sadly my contract was up before the nexus was launched so I never got my hands on one.
