Do you think that's impressive? I think she needs to do a greatest hits album this year or even next year and then her 8th album.

It's also impressive considering she's constantly having songs out. Most people reckon if she took a break her songs and albums would sell more.
Looking at those US sales, these are truly impressive. Her US album sales are very consistent and having six consecutive platinum albums (since her second album) really does say something. What is more impressive are her single sales. Rihanna makes selling millions and getting certified look very easy. When you add the international sales data for all her albums and singles, the picture looks even better. Her latest tour has been grossing better than before and her next album is starting to have some hype. She really needs to take a break though but these are very excellent sales.
It is astonishing how many successful singles she has had...and Katy Perry is catching up!!
I'm not particularly amazed either. Her UK sales are much more impressive.
But if she were to a break would it hinder her album sales? The break between 07-09 did affect them.....and it was HARDLY a break lol
There wasn't really a break when you think of the re-release of Good Girl Gone Bad in 2008. Even so there were other factors effecting Rated R's performance, the Chris Brown incident was still fresh at that time which over shadowed her music and gave her some negative media attention. Plus the dramatic change in music and image direction.
Also, Loud has sold either 1.7million or 1.8million...I read it on Billboard a few weeks ago.
Loud sold more in the UK than it did in the US which I think is amazing.
