It was a good soundtrack (if a little too close to Hans Zimmer's brilliant Batman scores in places), but I did feel that at times they could have dialled it back a bit, I'm thinking particularly of the unnecessarily epic and loud music that was played over the swimming pool sex scene, a more sedate piece of music would have better suited the scene rather than the epic booming theme that was there instead, it made the scene almost comical for me.
I agree with this actually - that particular scene the epic music was really unnecessary / bizzare! However it sounded and looked so damn good I didn't really care.
I'm giving this one a miss. The trailer doesn't sell the film IMO. Yes it's all pretty CGI visuals as you would expect in a sci-fi film but that appears to be it as far as the trailer goes.
The trailer avoids spoilers, which is a good thing.
This has lhe look and feel of Prometheus about it to me.
Not really. Prometheus was probably a bit too ambitious, and also suffered from characters doing things for no apparent reason (other than gross stupidity). Oblivion isn't ambitious enough, and as others have said is a bit derivative. I thought it was OK, but only worth 6/10.
Went to watch it but it was bad idea, because I've been so exhausted for the past two days lack kf sleep etc that I was dozing of many times, and I only just managed to keep interest. S I can't say whether I though it was good or not. From that parts I saw which had my full interest I liked, the visuals etc but I did feel the story felt a a bit flat
Haven't seen olga in anything but I thought she was the best thing in it, even though she didnt have a meaty role, her presence was really strong.
Finally got round to watching this...it wasn't exactly bad but it was a long way from good too. Overall I'd say I was happy not to have spent the money at the pictures.
Sound track is amazing, it's a visually stunning film.
Totally agree. M83 did a superb job on the soundtrack. Loved it.
Personally i thought Oblivion was fantastic despite its flaws, one of Tom Cruise's better films. The standout of the film however was Andrea Riseborough who was excellent in her role. I loved that line - Are you an effective team?
Listening to the soundtrack as I write this.
Saw Oblivion on Friday, ordered the soundtrack cd on Saturday. It arrived yesterday already ripped to usb stick for the car, playing it on pc whilst on that and then on the stereo to do it justice.

Echo the above - Soundtrack is quite something even if it is a little derivative of Kosinski`s Tron Legacy soundtrack by Daft Punk (if you`re going to "borrow", you might as well do it from the best!). There`s a 110 minute deluxe version of the soundtrack on Youtube.
Very much liked the movie too (just saw the DVD), especially the beautiful production design. I could pick faults with some of the plot but it`s not often I watch something with little idea about it in advance and come away pleasantly surprised and this did just that.

The drones made me think of WALL_E. They had that cute robot look.

Reminded me of Walt Disney's "Black Hole"
