But even the disco was catchy and had decent tunes - not like some of the repetitive dance music that was out by the end of the 80s!

Can't disagree with that, it's just that disco took over so much that that was all some radio stations, which previously were quite varied in their output, ever played. Also, acts like Abba, Rolling Stones, ELO and Rod Stewart released disco tracks with varying degrees of success (Do Ya Think I'm Sexy being a great track, but things like Summer Night City being amongst Abba's worst).

Yeah a lot of these bands DID jump on the disco band-wagon but I must admit I quite like Summer Night City by Abba! :D

Real interesting Gulftastic, so far just 7 minutes in and 2 appearances of DLT. No airbrushing. Good.

I know the Barron Knight parody lyrics more than the real ones to 'Matchstick Men'.

Why is it that some of the talking heads they put up to give reminisences in shows like this feel the need to be so obnoxiously rude?

Wierdly, I agree about him, but only when he was a solo artist. I liked the Undertones, but his voice got on my last nerve when they split.

Come off it, who ever sold 250,000 singles the very day after a TOTP appearance? Quarter million in a day? Who, when?
