Strange subs

I have subs turned on , on my Humax
Every day during the break in Emmerdale I keep seeing the following sentence pop up........

Word the policy pado you centre

Eh?...what all that about then?
Does anyone else get this or haven't you noticed it ?

It makes me laugh sometimes with the subs where it's say a news summary and the subs are appearing shortly afterwards and presumambly someone is typing and
mishearing or having difficulty understanding what is meant and the subs are just gibberish and/or completely wrong.

The subtitles for news programmes are now produced by someone repeating the spoken words into a computer and "intelligent" voice recognition software doing the rest.

They used to be typed using a variation of the American courtroom stenotype machine - again with built-in spellchecking - which in my view was more accurate.

Thats why when quite often theres something about the PR agent it says 'P are'

I was amazed when i watch a program on bbc3, can't remember what it was now, but the subtitles that were on the one that went before nine had BLEEP in the subs but then the one that went out after nine actually had the swear words. I watched it again to see if they would show them so well done BBC for actually treating hard of hearing as adults as well and allowing us to hear swear words after the kiddies have gone to bed.
