I didn't like the one where it turned out Ross' first kiss with Rachel was actually with Monica. Just a bit gross and unnecessary I thought.

And let's not forget Ross and his hot cousin:

Cassie: The last time we were together was in that cabin our parents rented. Remember that?
Ross: Yeah. I tickled you until you cried... We're probably too old for that.
Cassie: Yeah. I'll never forget that summer. That's when I got these freckles.
[reveals a part of her shoulder, showing her bra strap]
Ross: Whoa. Yeah. I'll never forget that summer either. That's the summer I, uh, figured out that we're related.
Cassie: It took you that long to figure it out?
Ross: Yeah, I'm a little slow.
[softly]
Ross: Just like our children would be...

On second thoughts, pass the mind bleach.

Although the hints at a slightly incestuous dynamic between Ross and Monica didn't surface until later series, I always felt it was a bit strange that they could talk so openly about their sex lives in front of each other. I know I couldn't discuss things like that in front of my own brother but then, maybe I'm just a prude!

I'd also like to add my name to the list of those who hated the shark porn, holiday armadillo and identical hand twin episodes, as well as the storyline where Joey tried to learn French. Just silly.

I really couldnt stand that storyline. Has anyone noticed the trend between Ross and the relationship with his female family relatives.....

I didnt mind the armadillo storyline but hated the French and the shark porn storylines

The one where they spend nearly 24 hours throwing a ball to each other and Monica rings in sick to continue it.

Poor!

They degenerated Ross into one massive Freudian nutjob, much in the same way Homer Simpson was turned into an injury prone retard. He used to be a believable character but after they gave him so many breakdowns he was just plain creepy, especially with the bizarre innuendos about Monica that would occasionally slip out. I mean what the hell were they thinking?
Well if you dont like the Ross and Monica situation you would have strongly disliked yesterday's episode - The One Where Rachel goes and gets her job back...

Monica: (Enters) Okay, it's baby time. Pants off Bing. (Sees Ross) Didn't see you there Geller.
Chandler: Yeah, Ross is here so...
Ross: Yeah, and I was really hoping that I could hang out. What do you feel like doing?
Monica: We're gonna have sex.
Ross: I don't feel like having sex. Maybe we can watch a movie or something.
Monica: Let me put it this way. We're having sex whether you're here or not.
Ross: Pants off Bing!

Monica: (Enters from the bedroom) Hi, good morning lover. I gotta say after last night, I'm a little weak in the knees.
Ross: Here's an idea. You walk into a room...take a quick scan!
Monica: (To Ross) Sorry. (To Chandler) But I kind of have this feeling that we may have made a baby last night.

I actually found that hilarious but Ross does get a bit creepy when he says "i dont feel like having sex"...Just leave

Ross was my least fave character, David Schwimmer always overacted, and seemed the least natural of the 6.

Personally i didn't like Chandler. I couldn't really get some of his humour. I think its an American thing.

Love Phoebe, shes my best character

She mugged Ross of his comic books!!

But wasn't Phoebe about 14 and Ross about 9 when he got mugged?

And now their supposed to be the same age..?

Singlularly worst executed line that makes me cringe every time I see it comes from Rachel.

Somebody tells her she's uptight - think it might be Joey.

Rachel replies with the horrendous, "Hey, hey...hey...I am NOT....uptiiight.....man."

URGH. Worse than identical hand twin and shark porn.

Yes, it was Phoebe actually, in that episode...you're right!!

Definitely says "man" though...to "prove" how not uptight she is!

Going back to jokes that flew straight over your head, could someone explain this one to me -

Season 6 - The One After Vega (Episode 1)

Monica, Chandler, Phoebe & Joey are at the breakfast table -

Chandler: So, has anyone talked to Dr. and Mrs. Geller yet?

Phoebe: Um-hmm, yeah. They left me a message; they should be here any minute.

Joey: Where is the waitress?! Iím starving!

Chandler: Itís a buffet man.

Joey: Oh, hereís where I win all my money back!

I'm probably being really thick but I just didn't get that at all. what was funny?

I could be wrong but isn't that just a reference to Joey's huge appetite? By "win" I think he means recoup the money he spent paying for breakfast. Knowing the character, he could probably polish off the entire contents of the buffet alone!

I thought of another poor joke actually - Ross delivering his lectures in a fake Cockney accent to impress his students. What on earth was that all about?

The episode yesterday of Pheobe saying "Then we sail off to Mexico....Oh wait that's the ending to a different plan." Just a boring joke imo. There are loads of those with Pheobe she was my least fav character.

Saying that I loved it when Rachel said "This is the worst date ever" and the bloke started crying and she said "I'm sorry but did you really think this was going well!!!" Lol infact that whole show with Rachel and the fat bloke was amazing, "would you like to make love to me?" "really, really not!"..."that's ok, just as well, it doesn't work anyway".... I was in stitches throughout that date.

I thought Ross was older than Phoebe when he got mugged. Isnt Ross the eldest out of the 6?

doesnt he mean, hes always paid ridiculous prices to stay in hotels and ythen had disappointed breakfast, and now he can eat as much as he wants, therefore eating food he would have expected to receive then when he paid a big price...thats what i think!

I'd agree with this one, whenever I walk into a buffet restaurant my name practically IS Joey so I know the same tricks

Suppose your replies do make some sense, however the fact that it needed explaining, and even then people have suggested alternative reasons why it's funny suggests that it was a poor joke.

Just seen another bad one on E4. Chandler and Monica are having money trouble, and Monica says she wants him to do something he likes doing -

Monica: 'It would be nice if the thing you like is finding gold'

Very weak. Mind you that was a set for the whole Boob Job storyline, which was awful, so I don't suppose we should be surprised.
