I'm inclined to disagree regarding Michelle. In retrospect she was a poor choice given she didn't stick around long once she got the job. However, I thought she performed well during the series. Ruth did my head in. She was far too aggressive.
Also, on a business level I felt Katie Hopkins was strong. She should have gone head-to-head against Kristina during the final. Even Tre would have been a better choice than Simon! |

I didn't feel Katie was strong at all - she talked herself up very well, what did she actually do though? I can't remember one task she excelled in

I thought she led her team very well during the task where they were asked to design pet products. And I know she failed to sell on the art task, but to be fair the task wasn't a very realistic scenario. The selling time was far too short. Her softly sotly approach would have faired well in a more typical art gallery environment. Thirdly, I felt she was very articulate in the boardroom. She argued her case well. Her personality stank though! |

In response to the thread title - I don't think we've seen enough of Alex yet to say whether he is under or over rated. He had the best idea of the lot last night though, when he just wanted to serve good honest pub grub. It was a real ale pub, and I think bangers and mash would have gone down a lot better than the Italian half pizzas they were serving.

Well I like Alex, I think he's good looking. Can't see why anyone would say he was a 'minger' to be honest. Maybe you should all go to Specsavers

I think the main (and possibly the only) reason for his popularity so far is his looks, most of the comments I've read on here have given that as the only reason for liking him anyway.
I didn't like him on week 1, since then he hasn't annoyed me though, but I'm still indifferent to him. |

yeah i think his popularity is his looks, i mean i think he's hot tbh, but that doesn't mean i think he's a good candidate.
He pissed me off in week 1, i thought he did a bad job as PM, and i do think the lobster fiasco was partly his fault, but nick deserved. He did well in week 2, but all the boys did, and week 3 he seemed to be talking sense with the British pub idea and wen talking about costs, but again there wasnt much of him to judge. I feel we haven't seen enough of him to judge how good he is yet. |

I dont think hes overated, he's just one of the candidates who havent made any major major mistakes yet. I mean, he wasnt great in his PM week, but then again, he wasnt abysmal either. Already, Kevin, Jenny, Claire and Lindi have done some pretty rubbish things, Lucinda is splitting opinions, and Jennifer, Helene and Michael havent really been featured to much yet. Raef and Simon seem to be universally popular, which leaves Alex somewhere in the middle doing nothing amazing, nothing terrible.
To me, Lee is slightly overated, I dont see why people think highly of him, he just comes accross as aggressive and sometimes, his to the point manner is very offputting. |

Yes I think he's well overated. Not bad looking I suppose, but no great shakes in any other apparent department. He's just the best of a not very appetising bunch really. I'm sure if Alan Sugar was a hormonal young girl Alex would win, however as none of the bosses fall into that category he will have to do a darned site more than look pretty I suppose.
Still, there's one strange thing about human primordial nature and that is that we tend to respond well to the better looking specimines because they are the ones most likely to mate and breed. This does make good looking people more likely to be successful in other areas of their life too because people are drawn to sexual success. |

it's a weird question in the thread title. I haven't seen anyone say they think he's a strong candidate, just that they think he's hot, which, in all fairness, he is. Though, since I think Raef is actually much sexier, I guess Alex is overrated.
It's kind of bizarre, I think, that someone saw a bunch of folk saying "ooh, he's hot!" and somehow thought that the man's competence and leadership skills were being assessed. |
