What a disappointing final ...
I'm relly disappointed with the final. I really liked the early semis (especially wednesday), but I was booooored tonight.
Cheeky Monkeys - They're great for their age, and they're really likeable, but I've never thought that 'for their age' makes up for not being as good as others (eyes Connie). Andrew Muir - Oh dear. Sounded like a pissed Richard Ashcroft. Bad. Kate and Gin - How many times can you be amazed by the same moves? There are actually other dogs who can do this stuff - plus I don't think the James Bond music was a good idea. It's a dancing dog, setting a tone of danger/action isn't good. Nemesis - Britain just doesn't do dance crews well. Leave it to the US. Strike - Not better than the semi, they don't interact (which would be cool and the obvious way forward), and out of time. Yes, dark hair guy is very very very fit. If he was the act, I'd be a fan. Andrew Johnston - Not bad, but very shakey in parts - not his best vocal. I'm pleased he's come on in himself, but I didn't like his new beaming performance style. George Sampson - not identical - moves in the second half were different until the end - but very, very similar; it was a massive anti-climax seeing the samey thing again. A singer could get away with it, but people assume dancer shouldn't do it. Even if they're wrong, I didn't think it had the same spark as the first time around. Faryl Smith - Good vocal, but didn't feel as if it was something great. I'm not sure if she even has, but I felt like she'd sung the song before. Escala - I don't get it. Good musicians that stand up and sometimes move their legs. They are not original: Bond was there long before them, and there are lots of really good musicians. Standing up and being pretty is not an amazing act. The music on the other hand (which should be the focus), was very good. Signature - I liked the improvements, but it's still the same. Can't really criticise George for that and not these, although I thought this was better polished. How far can they take it without another idea though? I'd have quite liked it NOT to start on the Jacko stuff this time. |

You must have been watching a different programme to me.
With the exception of Andrew Muir who can't sing all the acts put in their best performances. Faryl Smith, Andrew Johnson, Kate and Gin, Signature, Escala all could win - they were all brilliant. Andrew Johnston and Faryl Smith were note perfect and Escala are amazing. It wouldn't have worked if they'd tried to do a different act esp. in the case of Escala and Signature. They did what they do best. Look what happened to Andrew Muir - he tried to sing John Lennon. You just don't go there. One step at a time you're a plumber. |

They were all dire bar Nemesis who did something completely new. Showing most of them are one trick ponies (Signature, Strike, Cheeky Monkeys) while others can extend their acts.

Escala - musicians that are very good aren't rare, and Bond does exactly the same act and has been doing it for a while. |

I thought it was a great show, very high on talent from the main contenders, thought AJ's performance was note perfect and amazing not sure how you think it wasnt his best, would buy that tomorrow if it came out.
Signature were great, mixing humour with top dance moves, Escala stunning and excellent, even Strike for me were an unexpected smash hit. Farrell's voice is faultless too but the song didnt really light my fire, whilst George's act wowed me first time but didnt seem to offer anything different tonight. Also Kate and Gin and the Cheeky Monkeys were very entertaining in their own way. |

I remembered there was a similar group a few years ago but where have they been and I couldn't remember their name. To me Andrew and Faryl WERE note perfect - totally confident and beautiful to listen to. |

![]() I enjoyed the show tonight but felt that most acts underperformed Signature might have been a repeat of their audition (as were others) but they lit up the show for me. The others were a bit disappointing compared to what they have done before

I wonder how long they've been together?
