A friend of mine has had to do a full system reinstall and lost her iTunes music library on her PC.

so the question is can she take the music thats on her ipod, and get it back onto the computer somehow? Its not a new ipod, Its a last-gen ipod nano.

She wants to get the music back onto the computer, put it into itunes, and add more stuff to the ipod.

Is there some free software that will allow this?

So with iDump, you have to actually install it on the iPod? Or do they just mean you can carry the program around with you, stored as an exe on the ipod...

No you dont need too, you can just run it off the pc if you like but you can add it to the ipod if you would like.

Also Sharepod is great, you can install it on your IPOD or just on the PC and it then picks up your IPOD, works a treat.

Plenty to choose from.

Have a look at the comparison site below.
