I never usually find things like that hard to watch but I did find that very "ahhh look away" which I guess is the desired effect in a way.

Fantastic kick off (sound slike the footie haha) to the storyline..both Shona & Chris were brill, especially in that last scene.

Soo strange seeing the change in Whitney ALREADY with Tony being around now

They were both great, surprisingly good seeing as they must have not long before met for the first time.

She almost seemed weak and more vulnerable with him there.

On a side note I almost want to start up a thread to people who keep saying it's a willing relationship and she's like Bianca at her age. Just to set the story straight.

idea JUST to show some of these stupid people that IT IS ABUSE. I'm shocked actually at how many people think that its ok just because Whitney is willing.

I think its good that EE aren't doing the usual, child being abused sort of storyline, they're showing a different side to it, which I think should be shown.

Haha I know I'm trying to avoid the topic about the actual episode because I will get in a row lol.

I mean, for a start, its the FIRST episode, the ones who have said that it was more shocking that Whitney is having a fling with Tony..well, wait till nxt week & you'll get more of an idea of whats going on, I mean, that was the idea tonight, it was meant to cause shock, but don't knock the storyline till it's played out more.

Its hard for us reading stuff like that because we've been following everything to do with this storyline since it first got announced & coming up with out own theories & stuff

It's definitely abuse because Whitney's underage. The Bianca/Dan situation was different. Bianca was defintely aroubd 16 or 17 and that was a full blown affair with her mum's boyfriend - similar to Stacey/Max. This is completely different - this is a man who is manipulating, controlling and abusing his girlfriend's stepdaughter.

i'll join this thread i think, i have liked whitney since she arrived the most, i think shes a great little character and im interested to see how the storyline is going to pan out. tonight was quite uncomfortable viewing, but im looking foward to seeing whats to come.
