If Bigl can't pay the presenters, even for travel expenses, then there is no way they will get back on to AM and the Sky channel might be next to go!!.
Someone wrote in (or texted /e-mailed) Friday and asked about 1395 MW returning. Mike Read said something about pigs flying. Pity, I'm a bit fed up with Gold and Magic.
1st August. "Enviromental Reasons" was cited as the cause of the switch off, but a dutch member of the Big L forum has been in touch with the relevant agencies who have confirmed there are no new enviromental issues with the transmission site - rather the fuel tank is empty.
The station had the potential to establish itself as a major player in the UK radio market but it was reluctant to take advice and failed to concentrate on its delivery mechanism.
Vast sums of money have been spent, and whilst the programming was pretty good few of the public knew about them and those that could struggled to hear via a radio set.
Many have been supportive of this brave initiative to establish a business outside the conventional realms of broadcasting; however the owners seem to have little knowledge of either marketing or PR.
