However with the MJ, thing how do we know this is factual? Court Docs would serve as good proof for me. |

I will always like the person's music I dont think anything would stop me from liking it. I won't support the artist by buying their music/merchandise or seeing them in concert, I actually have to like them for me to spend my money. I'm pretty much done with Chris Brown. I'm sure he'll still have fans that will forgive him and go to concerts but he's lost his appeal for me.

You seem avid in trying to catch me out. While writing my first post I thought about KW, and research the ''racist claims'' and realised I could no longer support someone who supported racism. I just, thought to look it up as I was typing my first post up. Happy now?

I wont be jumping on the I agree with Torrid Affair bandwagon, although with Chris Brown, the more I read of this story the more I am disappointed by Rihanna's alleged stance. I hope this is just the papers stretching things are far as possible. So many teenaged girls are becoming the victims of domestic violence nowadays, sometimes girls as young as 13, and it saddens me that some of her young fans might take some perverse insiration or courage from her "standing by her man". Domestic violence destroys confidence and can be fatal for the victim. Its so sad.
![]() Re Michael Jackson, I'd rather not swallow the "evidence" of conspiracy theorists or people who dislike him, personally he never struck me as someone with the nature of a paedophile, imo its a very distinctive personality trait and if people are honest they'll say that it is something about him they don't like rather than actually believing that he is a genuine paedophile. I suppose some people will hold to their view that he is, so I gladly hold to my strong belief that while he does look a little frightful and I could knock him over the head for dangling the baby over the balcony, a paedophile he most definitely is not. Cannot wait to see him at the O2 YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! |

I think Michael Jackson is a bit wierd and the baby dangling and silly high voice and babies covered in blankets and other things have put me off him in a general sense.
I'm not convinced that he has done anything properly dodgy, and he was found not-guilty, so I wouldn't boycott him. It would be wrong to boycott based on rumour, especially when there is clearly a lot of nonsense said about him. Nevertheless, if I had kids, he'd not be in charge of babysitting! If his music comes on the radio and it's a song I like, I'm happy to listen to it without feeling I'm endorsing any wrong-doing. |

It's the quality of the music/lyrics not the performer IMO.

Not just in music but I personally don't buy/go to see Russell Crowe films since the phone incident.
I won't buy any album with R Kelly on it and "I Believe I Can Fly" tends to crop up on a few compilations. Have rid my collection of and refused to spend any money making Mel Gibson richer since the Nazi thing. I'm sure he doesn't care but I'm just doing what feels right for me. Have heard of Chris Brown but not a fan anyway. This would put me off. |

I think KW is Kanye West...
I don't really boycott artists unless....they commit violent crimes and yes...I have to agree with Torrid....can't stand racism...homophobia or bigotry against religion. Those things really do bother me in public figures... Going to Wacko Jacko.....granted he was acquitted at trial but "not guilty" is not the same as innocent. I have no problem at all with his weirdness...his strange appearance because I defend people who are different and want to be who they want to be...however....during the criminal trial..... as Torrid pointed out.....there was a legal search done of Neverland and I have serious objections to child pornography and those who own and distribute it.... This is why I don't support Wacko Jacko...because he blatantly according to court documents....possessed child pornography and if my neighbor was caught with child pornography or my co-worker....I wouldn't support them either... Some of you are trying to insist it's ok because he sold all these records and was a great entertainer....not sure why you would even attempt to make that argument....to me those who sell....buy....distribute or manufacture child pornography are scum....end of story...no matter how many moonwalks they can do... The site Torrid provided a link to....the smoking gun....is very accurate regarding legal cases.....they clearly have insiders in L.A..... As part of the evidence at the criminal trial.... to show attraction to boys.......the prosecution introduced two books featuring nude prepubescent boys from Neverland. The books were seized from Jackson in 1993 and never returned.... Covers of pornographic magazines - including one called Barely Legal - were projected onto a screen in the courtroom as the brother of the accusor... alleged that Jackson showed off a collection of magazines he kept in a suitcase. Let's get real here.....Thriller or no thriller.....superstar or not....no normal person needs to look at child pornography....tell me you disagree with that? ....let alone keep it in the house with underage boys..... |

What evidence do you have it has an insider in L.A? Show me court docs of the info on Jackson then I'll consider boycotting him. If he did have adult porn, it's his business it's legal. Child porn is another matter, and I'd like court docs to provide me with that information before I supposedly believe that the smoking gun is ''accurate'' because someone claims it to be without giving any evidence to suggest so. MJ, is wierd but I feel that is down to simply not having a childhood. Yes, he hangs out with kids, but the boy from home alone who he used to hang out with, deined claims he abused him. If someone asks for a link I can gladly give it to you. |

Whilst I recognise that personal drug use is a lesser offence than many of the others. George Micheal has been arrested for drugs possession after passing out at the wheel of his car and Pete Docherty for possession and car theft. I suspect it's only luck that neither of them has crashed and killed somebody whilst high. There are also loads of celebs that have been banned for drink driving, again it's only luck they didn't kill anybody. Docherty has also squirted a syringe at people and has been done for assault. The likes of Liam Gallagher, getting drunk and assaulting people backed up by their bodyguards or rappers carrying guns because they feel they're above the law, when really they're scum whose celebrity status provides them with privileges that should be forfeit for such actions.

I think it would depend on the crime. Things like Winona Ryder's shoplifting don't matter much to me; she was, rightly, taken to court and sentenced, but once the sentence is served, there's no need to hold it against her IMO.
Also, even with a violent offence, which I'd have a problem with, it would depend if it was a one-off or not. Cheryl Cole has never repeated that ugly little incident with the toilet attendant, whereas Naomi Campbell has a long record of aggressive outbursts. Therefore I'd boycott Naomi but not Cheryl. |

I am really getting sick and tired of people defending Wacko Jacko....there is no defense and who cares if he was once a great entertainer?...how in God's name does that matter now? At least read all these links before you reply to this....because I am going to seriously ask all of you who defend him and worship him....how can you?
Do some research online on what was taken from Neverland prior to the criminal trial....and of course....it probably pales into comparision to what was moved out of there as they knew the search warrant was coming... Since Diane was in the court room everyday of this trial....and covered it for CNN and COURT TV...I think you can trust this is real... http://www.courttv.com/news/jackson/...imond_ctv.html As part of the evidence to show attraction to boys, the prosecution introduced two books featuring nude prepubescent boys. The books were seized from Jackson in 1993 and never returned...... They were child erotica or pornography..... showing a sexual attraction to boys....or so the prosecution portrayed them....why the hell else would he have them? One book, "The Boy: A photographic Essay"..... features many pictures of nude boys....... including some explicit pictures of genitalia. In February of 2005....the Smoking gun somehow published the official and genuine pre-trial transcript of the grand jury....the court admitted it was real and wondered where they got it....the Grand Jury was a big secret with jurors often being snuck in under blankets...the court itself claims the SMOKING GUN got the real evidence....so how do you dispute that? Now look at what some of the jurors thought after the criminal trial... http://www.courttv.com/trials/jackso...regret_ap.html http://www.courttv.com/trials/jackso..._juror_ap.html Here you go....sounds like a guy you should let your young son hang-out with... http://www.courttv.com/news/jackson/...rints_cnn.html http://www.courttv.com/news/jackson/...atric_ctv.html http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/010605jackson.html http://www.courttv.com/trials/jackson/021105_ap.html |

(Just kidding). Drug and alcohol offenses don't bother me, but murder, child molestation, kiddie porn, rape or battering of a woman or child does.
