Hi Folks

Just looking for some advice regarding Vodafone's sim only plans.

I see there is now a £15 sim only plan available with 600 anytime any network minutes and unlimited texts. Sounds like a great deal to me.

I am currently with Virgin Mobile Sim Only and I can check how many minutes and texts I have left simply by calling 789. Is it possible to do the same with Vodafone? Is there a number I can call to check minutes and texts remaining.

Also, if anyone has spotted any better sim only deals can you please let me know. I feel the 600 minutes and unlimited texts for £15 a month is good, it is only available on a 12 month contract but Im quite happy with this.

A year isn't a problem as such is it? If you're worried about going over the mins, T-Mobile do a 'solo lite' SIM only deal. It's probably around the same as you're paying Virgin at the mo but with SL it won't allow you to go over minutes or make calls not included in allowance so the bill is always the same - just the line rental. If you want to make calls to calls to 0870 etc or use the phone once the minutes have gone, you have to buy a top-up.

I think Vodafone would be a great choice!

If you want to check your minutes and texts there are a few ways of doing this

• call 44555 - this will send you a text with all the details
• sign up for online billing - save the trees AND check your usage!
• call 191 and select the "check balance" option

if you look at the virgin Sim deals you get free voicemail and Internet with vodafone you need pay £7.50 for 500mb net plus they charge you for voicemail virgin you get 1gb Internet and free voicemail. plus for every £100 you spend you get £10 off a phone.
