Why is British Eurosport 2 showing the live Monte Carlo rally in 4:3? The EPG has a W assuming for widescreen:confused:

    Basically BE2 can only be in widescreen for "one shift/day"
    - and they are probably using this for tennis!

    It's wierd that 4:3 is being used for Aussie Open broadcasts on BE2, when BE1 and BEHD are 16:9.

    As stated above apparently British Eurosport 2 is only 'British' Eurosport 2 (and therefore in widescreen) for one shift a day. The rest of the time, British Eurosport 2 is a simulcast on Eurosport 2 International, which is 4:3 only (as is Eurosport International).

    British Eurosport is always 'British' Eurosport, hence is in widescreen whenever appropriate.

    I don't quite see why, if there is full three-shift coverage for BE, why the Transmission Controller for that channel can't help out with BE2!

    Why do they need a Controller? What's s/he there for?
