Arsenal v Manchester Utd

Hi all,

Sorry if this is a repost but i did search and nothing came up..

I read today in Metro (London Edition) that the Arsenal v Manchester Utd will be broadcasts in 3D and it listed a load of venues, pubs mainly that were showing it, i take it we cant get it without a 3D tv?

Thanks

According to this, normal TV should be fine.

Do people still not realise that this isnt the same as the old style stereoscopic 3D, its not difficult.

It has been made clear in lots of places that all SkyHD subscribers will get Sky's 3D services for no extra subscription - but you need special glasses and a 3DTV to view it - and there are currently no 3DTV's available in the UK.

LG are supplying ones to (a few!) pubs for Sky's trial this weekend - so there are a few it would seem!

I'm not sure Samsung's forthcoming 3D TVs will be compatible with Sky 3D anyway, I can forsee many problems with differing formats for a while.

Neither did I, and as posted above the free glasses worked fine on channel 4 3d day.

I knew if I wanted this I would have to buy yet another TV.... so no thanks. And unless they do away with the , this might be the first Betamax of this century unless that title belongs to HD-DVD?

What Samsung ones are you talking about?

3D sets are still hard to find in the US market. The best one I've seen is this:

For $9,200(!!)

What are the correct pubs then?

If you're gonna tell someone they're wrong you could at least correct their mistake, as you obviously have the relevant details.

I am beginning to think you are right.

According to the Irish Times, Fagan's in Drumcondra will be showing the 3D broadcast in Dublin. SO that rules out QBar.
I have also had emails saying that Bar Kick isn't showing it.

I am beginning to think Sky started the list as a diversionary tactic.

I note the original site I got the list from has now been taken down....

I have updated my blog accordingly

I work for Sky Business, I can tell you that the pub mentioned in Edinburgh, is not the pub showing the game. The manager of Belushi's has called us asking whats going on.

Sky have kept the pubs secret even from us, though I believe its quite close to this pub.

As far as we are aware, the website this information is on is a splash page by someone out to do some mischief.

I guess as Stevie Wonder's a Gooner he won't feel out of place watching it in his local now.
