Although what made Juanita's performance classic is that she was soooo rude to the judges. She wasn't originally a semi-finalist, only gaining her place after another contestant was disqualified. From the judges clothes, it seems both girls performed on the same night. I wish I had seen that episode!

Argh. That Juanita was Frenchie Davis' replacement. For that alone, I hate her!

I don't get why Frenchie was disqualified. I know she took some raunchy pictures, but I don't see how that would have interfered with the show. Well at least it gave us gold like Juanita. Until Jermaine came along, I didn't think I would see anyone half as arrogant as her.

It was only season two remember, and things were a bit different, and far more touchy back then. I remember the the clearly homosexual Clay Aitken forced to do a cringing exchange with that other bastion of heterosexuality, Seacrest, about his female fans (shudders).

All long gone, and even worse, by season four, we had Antonella whatever her name was who had pictures in keeping with the more abandoned of the European school shall we say, as well as a rumoured porno, and nothing was done about her, same with Constantine Maroulis whose cock somehow found it's way into Paula's mouth...but season two was another world entirely.

Wasn't some bloke in an early season disqualified for giving Paula one? I don't remember Constantine putting anything in Paula's gob - I must have missed that one. Clay Aiken has since produced a child with some unfortunate lady. Now that shocked me more than anything.

Not quite. Corey Clark (Season 2) was disqualified for a criminal record he didnt disclose to the producers. From what I recall, it was pretty extensive.. assault, robbery and a lot of other stuff. Then during season 4, he reappeared in the media alleging that he and Paula had been sleeping together during the competition, and she had been coaching him and giving him tips on how to do well in the competiton, and had been giving him special treatment in terms of feedback and other stuff. I dont think it was ever proven though.

Ahhh the early seasons provided so much drama. I miss those times. When it was a scandal to be gay, when having half naked pictures meant automatic disqualification, people calling for illiterate contestants to leave. Come to think, those things would gain you votes in the X Factor.

I wonder what happened to the infamous Juanita after that performance? Talking to Simon like that these days would have at least earned her a spot on "I'm a Celeb."

I know, there hasnt been a good scandal to come out of Idol for a while. I guess the last major one was Antonella Barba, but that was a good three years ago.

Im surprised the stories about Todrick havent gained momentum. VFTW dug into real detail, and the guy sounds look a real crook!

I know! What he did was illegal! I question the morals of the producers. Naked pictures = disqualification (only if you are paid for them), but conning numerous parents out of money and breaking their children's hearts in the process is OK? I'm wondering why the US media hasn't really picked up on it. Maybe because the news broke around the time Chris Golightly was disqualified. I am hoping it will take off at some point and that they get rid of him. If all else fails, we just wait for him to take the precious "Bleeding Love" and make it his own by adding electric guitar and singing it in falsetto. That will surely get him eliminated.
