Thanks for the feedback, presumably you have passed this information on to Humax? |

![]() The cure: you need to get the STB into an engineering mode so that you can default it back to day 1 config. (don't worry it doesn't put the software back - just the config!) Green Button on the remote to power up the STB Then Press "left, right, yellow, blue, menu... then select technical information > manufacturer information" 2 new options appear RED = Default and GREEN = Color Bars Press RED the box defaults and powers down - Power up again on the remote and its back to 'as it was out of the box when new' The tricky bit is getting the speed of the button pressing right so as to get the STB into Engineering mode, otherwise the request is ignored. |

Looking at what been happening I'd say it's the Green button Service where you can "book" a program from the Trailer.

Instant lockup on booting to BBC2
Think I've got a new associated issue this afternoon.
The 9200 is booting up to BBC2 and instantly locking up. It is not possible to change channels, play a recording or anything. It was fine when it was put in standby around 2pm, but not now. Is it another MHEG issue, or is it just me? John |

Try removing the aerial lead and starting it withthe aerial disconnected. If this gives you control do a reset to defualt settings then power down, reconnect the aerial start it up and do another reset to default settings.

I started as you suggested by disconnecting the aerial lead and rebooting. That did give full control again. Rather than a do the default setting I changed it to ITV then reconnected the aerial lead. ITV came on OK and It gave a message for a moment saying channel not available, then after a few seconds it was all back to normal. If it goes awry again I'll do the default setting but for now I'll see how it goes. I was able to go to BBC channels and they seemed OK. Later I'll put it into standby and try another reboot when others aren't watching it (and having made a note the timers that have been set in case they get lost on a default setting). Thanks, John |

TBH you would be better of starting a new thread in the TV sub-forum.
