too true. or jane seymour. or jill st john. or honor blackman. or even maryam d'abo or carey lowell for me.
why do they insist on having an identical woman in three films? are they suggesting Craig's Bond hasn't got over Vesper so he keeps chasing the same type? |

When I see Daniel Craig, as Bond, running and fighting etc I can't help but be reminded of the T_1000 from Terminator 2.
Next time you watch CR or QoS watch and you'll see what I mean. people shoot at him and he just keeps running with an emotionless yet determined face. James Bond or the T_1000, you decide!

I agree with some posters that the more recent Bond movies need to stop taking themselves so seriously and to be more like the older Bond films which you didn't have to so too hard on and did not carry tonnes of emotional baggage. I do not neccesarily mean like some of the farces such which Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan starred in, just more in the vain of Sean Connerys.
I reckon that this will probably be Judi Dench's final appearance as M and possibly Daniel Craig's final outing as Bond? I believe that he initially signed a three-film contract with the option of a fourth (just like Pierce Brosnan). Who knows, maybe this will be his very own Goldfinger or The Spy Who Loved Me. Also, I wonder what is happening with the Moneypenny and Q situation, hopefully they will be back and as loveable as ever. |

Naomi Harris said in the press conference that she was playing a field agent called Eve. That could be Moneypennys first name? |

David Walliams for Q! He is a big fan of the films, and would bring a bit of light relief before all the action (hopefully) starts. I always looked forward to Desmond Lewellyn's appearance, but I'm afraid John Cleese just didn't do it for me.

Give him some credit for his charity work but he's a big no no for a bond film. Stephen Fry for Q? I'd be happy enough with some unknown oddball playing the role. |

I think a cooler, adroit, tech-savy Q would be more in keeping with the current Bond. Fry? Walliams? Dear Lord, spare me. |

Lewellyn had his moments. I think Cleese took it too far. |

So it's been confirmed that Ben Whishaw is the new Q.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-15889689 So is this another sign that the producers are slowly but surely re-introducing elements back into Bond that were removed for the reboot. I love both old-Bond and new-Bond so i'll happily say that this confirmation of Q returning is good news and i'm hoping they manage to get the balance of old/new elements right. As for Ben himself, i think i've only seen him in the BBC crime thriller 5 Days which was on a few years ago where he played a young lad accused of murdering a girl he gave a lift too. He seemed ok in that so all i can say is good luck to him. I'm not one for knocking something before the actual event so i shall await the finished product before commenting or criticising him. |
