I enjoy old and new Bond but admit I'm not sure about a young Q
![]() I hope they get the balance right. |

The idea of making a young Q seems an interesting one, not sure about it TBH

^ I'm happy with the casting of Q - after Cleese(R, S, T, whatever), it's welcome...

^ Yep, I adore Cleese in FT, but didn't like him in the Bond series.

Bond (Pierce Brosnan): If you're Q, does that make him [indicating Cleese] R?"
Cleese: Ah.. the legendary 007 wit... or at least half of it. ![]()

Not a huge Bond fan, but even I have to admit that was a great trailer

Eh.. not that impressed with the trailer. Just seemed a whole load of nothing to me. Although perhaps it's the first of a number to be released and they're drip feeding the plot to us. The word association bit looked quite good. Reminded me a little of The Ipcress File.

Although this was just a teaser trailer. I expect we will be seeing a "full" one before long. |

"Agent"...."Provocateur"
More shameless product placement, eh, Jim? ![]() Still, as a teaser it does its job very well, and that title font (Neutraface 2, btw) is a bit of a killer. |

We've been expecting you Mr Bond ...
![]() I'm assuming the long-haired figure in front of the explosion is Javier Bardem. I'm hoping for the best, and I think we just might be getting it ... Fingers crossed. |

Good trailer but you can realistically take from it is that it's going to look good - Bond in front of the Chinese dragons looks very well shot.
Plot-wise etc it doesn't tell anything, which for me is good as I like the element of surprise. I've watched the trailer once and I shall only watch the full trailer once. |

Great trailer and beautifully shot, looking forward to this one. It really is a teaser and it worked.

Joining this thread late.
Not blown away by the trailer, doesn't seem to be a lot happening. But that might be a good thing, as I have been disappointed in the past by movies with brilliant trailers. As for the younger Q, I like the idea. Ben Whishaw is 32 so he's not that much younger than Peter Burton who was about 40 when he played Q in Dr. No. |

Shouldn't it be James Bond 25 or even 26 ?
There was the 1953 edition of Casino Royal for CBS Teleivision, plus 1967 version of Casino Royale (starring David Niven and Woody Allen), and the 1983 edition of "Never Say Never Again" with Sean Connery. |
