I don't know if anyone has asked this previously, too many pages to go through, but does anyone else think that Jeremy Vine wears a wig. Looks like it could be to me and after all his brother Tim is pretty thin on top and I think he is older.

Tony Blackburn's wig just goes from bad to very bad.

Looks like he has a shaved head and has stuck a synthetic full wig on his head but it sticks up at the back. Looks like he can't get it to glue down.

It looks awful. I feel so embarrassed for him.

Frank Skinner definitely had something done. His hair was receding to quite an extreme degree when he was first on TV in the early 90s yet seemed to miraculously regrow as the years went on.

This thread gave me a bit of a guilty giggle. It's not the loss of hair that made me laugh but bad wigs are somehow funny.

Of course it is, for God's sake.
You are right he has wore a wig for years and years.

What about that guy in Emmerdale, is his name Paddy as I don't watch it?

He used to have a full head of thick hair then went for the shaven look but there's a big bald patch at the back so I'm guessing it was a wig. Surely a soap first?

I actually don't think Terry wears a wig at all. If you notice his hair has changed colour and consistency over the years and now he has an obvious bald patch on the back of his head. If it was a wig surely that would be covered up?
On the travel programme he did two years ago he was outside and it was windy and you could clearly see the bald patch on the back of his head, I always thought he wore a wig until then, if he does it's a strange one.

Frank Skinner, Ben Miller, Rob Brydon all seem to have partaken of the miracle hair growth programme.
Rob Brydon has admitted having a hair transplant, they joked about it on The Trip.

Alan Carr, Declan Donnelly, Martin Keown and Derren Brown also seem to have miraculously reversed male pattern balding.

I don't think Jeremy Vine wears a wig. Just because a younger brother is balding doesn't necessarily mean the older brother has to be in an advanced stage of baldness. A case in point, newsreader John Suchet has a full head of hair, whereas his younger brother, the actor David Suchet is bald.

I still can't believe there's people out there who don't think Terry Wogans hair is a wig, Do these people think Bruce Forsyths is real too?

I mean for Gods sake, does this look real to you?

Look at the pictures below, not a wig, you can clearly see where he is balding at the back, plus look at the greying hair:

To be honest, yes it does. Dark/fuller hair in older men isn't that unusual - I have older male relatives with hair that has greyed to this sort of pattern and with this sort of fullness, plus as other posters have said, who the hell would bother paying thousands of pounds for a wig with a built-in developing bald spot? It would take 'mimicking real life' a touch too far in the quest to be convincing - and would defeat the object somewhat!

It's an old joke re Terry - one that I think he has actually perpetuated himself in the past - and an urban myth becomes fact.

Ickle Dec has definitely had something done. A year or so ago he was going very thin, now he has a luxuriant barnet. My thinking here is a 'weave/strand by strand' whatever they call it?

Any pictures of Wogan, Brucie etc without their rugs on?
Yes. This was taken 'behind the scenes' of his last TV appearance. He's wearing the 'in need of a cut' one.

Of course it is a rug, i have seen his Wedding photo from more than 50 years ago, and his hair was thinning then.

Yes he had a receding hairline back then : it wasn't over 50 years ago though.....he married his wife Helen in Dublin in around 1965.

I saw Terry on TV recently and he was wearing a lighter coloured wig for a change, sort of a medium to dark brown.

Paddy from Emmerdale used to use that spray on stuff and it used to hurt my eyes to watch as it was like the back of his head was out of focus.

As for Wogan, well he seems to have a piece in with his combover - and fair play to him. He's gone about it the right way; a man of his age will not have a full head of hair and a bit of thinning or a gap at the back is more realistic than pretending you're 25.

Which brings me to Brucie. I love old Brucie but they can surely do better that that, unless maybe there's nothing left under it at all? You need a piece which is fairly fluffy on top, turning into a bald patch - otherwise you're just wearing a hat. Brucie also has it very long - not only is that rather dated but it means they can't comb it into whatever hair he has left. It looks like a hair helmet.

But I do sympathise with these guys - particularly Brucie. He's got such a long face that if he was bald on top he would look, well, odd.

The worst is Jimmy Young - thats just dreadful and looks like its been up a Dyson a few times.

Oh, and Barbara Windsor doesn't just wear one as a quick glamour fix - she's spent so many years bleaching it she needs one. She actually wears a baseball cap with a fake pony tail stitched into the back for a 'casual, just-popped-to-the-shops' look.

I read that Wogan has wigs of differing lengths so that it appears his 'hair' is actually growing, lol. IMO the very worst wig in Showbiz history has to be Frankie Howerd's! It was actually way funnier than he was.
