Kindle app - android

Please can someone tell me where Kindle books are stored on the phone? (HTC Desire) I moved the app to the SD card but the books aren't visible. I just wondered if I could free up memory on the phone by deleting them and storing them on my proper Kindle or in the cloud?
Thanks!

Looks like they might be on the phone.
I have a directory /data/data/com.amazon.kindle/ with sub directories of cache, databases, files, lib. Purchased books may be in there somewhere.
Also I have sdcard/kindle which has the standard books (aesops fables etc ) in but no sign of the purchased books.

I've just checked my SG2S and it seems to store books on the phone.

Ok, I have downloaded 2 books and it has a new timestamp for /data/data/com.amazon.kindle/files / databases . The timestamp is when I downloaded.
So yes, they are on the phone.

I note that under manage apps , when selecting kindle there is an option to remove data, but I not sure what will happen, so I have not tried.

The desire is a great phone but the internal memory is a PITA.

In the actual Kindle app there is an option to remove items from the menu. So I have removed everything I have read - about 20 books which must free up some space. I now have 21.54mb left on my phone!
