Just back from seeing this and we loved every minute. I was in a group of two adults and one 15 year old. From what I had heard, I was worried that the 15 year old would be bored. Quite the opposite. She was delighted and laughed at the same things we did, and she also found some parts really touching.

Saw this last night. Absolutely packed out mainly with pensioners! When the end credits started loads of people started clapping. Really bizarre. Its a film not a theatre show! anyway I enjoyed it. Really funny in parts, especially the earlier scenes.

Enjoyed the film - but the book is far, far better.

Saw it this afternoon. I might be the youngest person in cinema and there were lots of OAPs with me. The plot is quite cliche I must say, but Tom, Judi and Maggie save the film.

Really enjoyed this film. Great performances all round and delighted in spotting some folk in short scenes who were familiar as well as the main cast.

He would maybe do well to head for the Sates or to ply his trade for a few more years, maybe do some stage and tv. I think its a tad premature for assumptions |

Sorry to bump, just saw this film tonight. Dev's charachter annoyed me til the last few minutes, then I understood him entirely, and the contribution his character made to the film. I was very moved by the whole film. Yes, it may have been predictable, but for once I was glad of this. Balled my eyes out at one point and felt good when I left the cinema. A very strong 8/10

I'm an 18yr old and I really enjoyed this film! it was funny, serious, and has some great acting!!
Although it's a film that u could easily watch on DVD or on Tele, it's not a 'have to go to the cinema to watch it' kinda film! but it was still good! |

I love Dame Maggie and Judi, but I must admit that I was very disappointed. I went to a matinee this week and actually dozed off a couple of times. I really wanted to enjoy it, but found it very cliched and predictable. Maggie was funny, but I found her change of character quite unbelievable, and the ending was too fairy story to be true.

It's a total luvvie-fest and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It was packed out with old people - but one of the pensioners showed me how to get the Orange Wednesday text, which I'd never done before.
Last year my local cinema showed 'It's a Wonderful Life' on Christmas Eve - that was packed with pensioners too and they all started clapping at the end. Seemed bizarre but it was a lovely atmosphere. |

Just seen it - what a wonderful film. Excellent balance of humour and great poignancy.
Penelope Wilton was amazing..... as were they all. You can't go wrong with a cast like this. |

Just watched this last night. I quite enjoyed it as the case are so good - but the script was pretty predictable. Maggie Smith's character's turnaround was very predictable but very unrealistic.

I saw this a few months ago. It was ok and not as funny as i thought it would be.
Maggie smith was the only highlight, as she was rather good. She can deliver dirty looks and bitchy one liners like no other actress today. |
