EDIT: Just read the old thread, and it's the first post! Doh!
Make sure you get the right one - greenish cover - I think there's a newer one that is 4 discs not 6. The older one is a classic - and surely there's no better Blu Ray bargain out there.

Thats the theory that the Government are trotting out to justify a simple increase in tax but most people know its nonsense.
It won't change things one bit .
The High Street is not the place to buy dvd's and Blurays .
Last time it was , was about a decade ago and it never will be again

I don't know if this shop is nationwide or not, but a shop in Birkenhead called Bee.com is selling both "The Thing" (Kurt Russell) and "The Thing" (recent remake) in a Blu Ray box set
for £17.99

I wouldn't be surprised even with the added VAT charge HMV will still be expensive.

Tesco have reduced a lot of bluray prices and also have 15% off with the code EX-15OFF15

I found 10 I wanted. good for my bluray collection, not so good for the wallet

among my purchases were the italian job, shooter, a couple of the star trek movies, galaxy quest, the untouchables, deep impact. All for £5.07 each with the discount. you can get another 8% off via quidco which makes them £4.66 each. a bargain basically.

this link should give you a list in roughly ascending price order

Yup, my local ASDA has a wide range of BDs for £7 - most/all are part of the "Universal 100th Anniversary" range. Paul, Shaun of the Dead, Gladiator, Jurassic Park, The Blues Brothers, Back to the Future, and many others.

hmv have got 20% off all bluray until monday night.

a lot of the site is overpriced but some real bargains to be had, particularly the pre-orders. the bond boxset works out as £74 (most places have it as £90) and the avengers steelbook is £13

This is a great deal. I cancelled all my preorders and reordered them again under this deal. I'm surprised you're allowed to use it more than once but I've just picked up a load of blurays with them coming in at less than £12 each!!

Nice. Just ordered the Avengers steelbook myself too.

I'm tempted by the BSG Blu-ray box. £76 at HMV.com, Play, Amazon, etc., but with the code it brings it down to £60.80 at HMV. Unfortunately the availability is "usually dispatched in 21 to 24 days".

Bought it!

Don't mind the wait if it means saving £16.

I got an email for this, thats how i found out, spent a few pounds tonight on blu rays, mostly on pre-orders... avengers steelbook, sons of anarchy Season 4, also got final season of entourage for only 14 quid which comes out on Monday also a few odd cheap blu rays movies as well. Was thinkng of getting S1 -S3 of dexter on blu ray with the 20% off brings them down to 24 quid each but i think once they are released they may well come down cheaper than that eventually so may not bother with them.
