you can never get out of sheep

Angel is timeless really. IMO while Material girl and the title song from the album are so poignant and classics....Angel and DYU i find the most defining singles of the album

Shoo-Bee-Doo is so simplistic but i love ho beautiful it is really...never understand the negatives for it really.

haha i was rather enamored by a field of Lambs the other day

And i still love LAV as my favourite but totally so overlooked and unacknowledged in comparison to their larger counterparts.

Yeah i see what you mean...i feel in terms of comparison as singles Material and VIrgin are landmark songs while Angel and Dress You Up were a bit more biographical of her at that time.

Yeah i love that, it is so elegantly produced and Madonnas vocal on it is killer too i find. I am unsure if it is about her ballet teacher or not though? Like a companion and friend forever and always...has that bittersweet quality about it all. And yeah the Faux-Motown (a recurring theme too which i love) production....mesmerising.

Yeah totally, And as ever Like A Virgin as an album very much epitomised the political mindset of the early - mid 80s really within Pop...but with that it presents a timelessness about it. Like True Blue as an album i find very much IS the 80s and sounds like the 80s when you play it...but with Like A Virgin because there is that fusion of different styles and sounds across the record it is more of a showcase of the 80s and Pop Music really.

Similar to Cyndi Lauper and Shes So Unusual...her debut album you can listen to and it transcends its time zone...but with the other two albums she released in the 80s it very much feels stuck in time really and is harder to translate...still fun though.

It really does keeps growing in texture every listen...so very layered. There are so many layers to eat into on MDNA but Love SPent showcases it in less than 4 minutes in length

And yes LAV whilst some may say its a relic of the 80's it has more to say for tiself than TB which as you say is the 80's like BOMT even though released in 99 for many is the 90's.

Really? I find the reviews on Amazon very unhelpful. A lot of the times even with records that were badly reviewed by the press and are actually quite horrible, the reviews on amazon are always positive and say an album is the greatest thing ever. What happens is an artist's dedicated fans will go there and post glowing reviews in an effort to get people to buy the album. You rarely see a lot of bad reviews on amazon. I wonder why people are going there and posting bad reviews. I guess there are just bored people who hate Madonna!
But for these reasons, I never pay attention to amazon reviews. I would tend to look more at press reviews which are more objective and not done by obsessed fans.

Haha like i keep saying really i mean i loved it again when we had a really hot day on Wednesday and i blared it out...but personally for me i love an album with a direct journey or concept etc. Whereas True Blue is more like a collection of songs with not an entire mass of diversity necessarily (never a bad thing) but it boasts 4 of her best ever singles and another two corkers too.

But like we always say Madonna has something fore everyone. I regard Erotica as one of the finest albums ever made, some fans think otherwise etc.

For me True Blue as an album doesnt do "it" for me the way some other fans love it...but at the same point i aint speaking bad about it either...it is an iconic album.
