Original Lauren, her realationship with Max was so much more dramatic back then, with the way she dealt with her angsty feelings towards him and being pushed to the limit and running him over, she struggled so much with her emotion over how to feel about him but now its just typical teenage father arguements.

Its laughable to even compare the two. Jacqueline is a far superior actress. The original Lauren was awkward and wooden and showed almost no emotion...

Madeline was a wooden actress. Jacqueline is far superior. She's a diverse actress, giving the writers more room for character development.

Madeline was the better Lauren. I kind of wish they would bring her back but its not gonna happen.

! You and maurice45 are spot on! Must say I'm bemused by the amount of people who go on about the old Lauren as if she had the makings of being the next Dame Judi Dench?!? . She was completely forgettable, whereas the old Lucy was better than the new one IMO because she made an impact as her character stood out more because of her storylines. Lauren hardly did anything until she was recast. Running Max over was laughable considering she could barely see above the steering wheel

Jossa's better than Duggan, but neither of them are anything to write home about. Jossa is way overhyped.

That original one doesn't even deserve to be considered a character. Jossa all the way for me

Madeline. More realistic somehow. It's a shame soaps seem to recast young characters in a bid to make them seem more outrageous and grown up (EE Lauren, ED Victoria). Madeline was fine and didn't need recasting.

Definitely Maddie
Madeline Duggan was so much better as Lauren, her version of the character was more likeable, sweet and friendly, her relationship with her mother and father was also strong and bold, We could feel how sad and upset she was with Max such disdraught and angry emotion she had which was realistic. Her relationship with Peter was also sweet and heart-warming, she was also quite fiesty at times but not all the time. I miss Madeline I wish she'd come back but I know it's not gonna happen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBmlx...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEiHP...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Chyy2...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIJsHTyWI6o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiAJBdDjmF8 <---- I love her in this scene...how she's full of anger and shows such hatred against Zsa Zsa THIS was Lauren ![]() Jacqueline is a good actress but she's not the real Lauren...she was shaky at first now she's improved a bit but her version is less likeable...I thought Maddie was the better Lauren http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsZl5s3nQzw |

Maddie couldn't have done the Tanya cancer storyline and Lauren going off the rails. Jac Jossa stands toe-to-toe with Jake Wood and Jo Joyner, which is no mean feat. She's one of the most promising actors in soap and Lauren a ton of potential as a character for the future.

Has to be Jossa, I don't see how people can say otherwise. She has given Lauren a personality, old Lauren was just a boring moody teenager that didn't do or say anything remotely interesting. Jacqueline Jossa is FAR more believable as the character.
Watching the clips above, Maddie just seems very wooden and dull, imo. |
